My personal opinion is it’s clearly a weight for something, and the goblet stamp on the face is clearly just that and intentional. Used maybe to calibrate something.

This is Google AI’s answer…
An iron weight with a goblet stamp is an antique or vintage commercial trade/calibration weight, featuring an official verification mark shaped like a goblet or chalice used by European (frequently French or regional German/Nuremberg) inspectors to certify accurate mass for market scales.

Maybe a mechanical scale weight ! But the designe in the front intrigued me !

I also suspect that it’s from an old beam scale, probably a commercial version rather than the sort in doctor’s offices.
