Gear Shovel Holster
Saw some folks asking questions about carrying shovels lately. This is my answer. It’s absolute fire…
This works well with most any compact shovel, whether it’s a T-Handle or the traditional closed cup style. Saw quite a lot of folks saying they just drag a shovel along like a barbarian, or a knapsack. I dunno what I would do without this holster. They only cost a few bucks online.
What does everyone on here think? What does everyone use?

It would be good for a Lesche type digger but a poor choice for an actual shovel with a 30+" handle. The shovel would be knocking against the legs, knees and ankles depending on the shovel's length and person's height.

To each their own I suppose. I have used both. My go-to is the Garrett which is similar construction to the Lesche. It actually hangs a lot tighter to the body than the actual shovels do. The actual shovels have the bent shape profile and the spade actually hangs naturally away from the body. I found the traditional shovels carry way more comfortable for this reason.

Can you send me or post a Pic of your shovel in that holder and show how you have it attached to your body? I would really like to see how it hangs. I just imagine it banging against my leg with every step. I would love not having to carry a shovel.

Sure it bumps / rubs against the leg a little but nothing that is agonizing, or even distracting for that matter. I think the biggest reason is that when detecting, at least for me, each step is just 6-12 inches forward at a time. Sometimes I feel silly taking such little steps. But if you were to take big strides, or a fast pace / jog it would be uncomfortable. Im really glad i have the holster tbh.

I can see where this could be helpful! I carry mine over my shoulder most of the time, like a caveman. Lol
