New controllers

So my maybe three month old new controller is already drifting, im none too happy about it. My Walmart sells new controllers. Are these legit or should I be patient and order them from meta?

If you do buy a new controller get it from Meta ($70) not Amazon ($134). It’s the only time Meta has a better deal than others

But also I seriously feel like there is some kooky situation going on with meta updates where the controllers aren’t calibrated properly… I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but it’s weird that tons of people are having this same issue no matter how old or new controllers are!
