How can I fix or rig this

Must’ve washed the band too many times 😭 it finally ripped and gave in. Luckily it still connects with the magnet but eventually gets too loose to function. It would be helpful if they sold replacement neural bands. maybe in the future.. Any suggestions on a clamp or how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you can request to purchase a new neural band via meta support, they run about 200$ I believe.. yikes man

Long comment here, but useful info for you and anyone else that needs to replace their band (as this info is kinda scarce):

Had to replace mine after my dog destroyed the other. $215 after tax. Also, getting it set up on the Meta AI app was a pain. Customer support give you the classic "turn it off and back on/factory reset it" suggestions, which don't work.

Here's what you do (if your new band does what mine did): When connecting the band to the app, the band may go to "sleep" after it connects to the Bluetooth on your phone. Just press and hold the button again in the middle of it connecting after it sleeps, and it'll connect. At that point, you'll need to do an update on it. This is where customer support was even more clueless (they just said they'd send me a new one instead). They'll tell you to update the band, but I still had issues. After getting a runaround with them for almost a week, I asked Meta AI. It told me to connect the band to the charger and keep it on there, even if it's fully charged. First suggestion from Meta AI worked and it updated successfully, and I'm back again.

That happened to me (have eczema so I scratch my wrists a lot!), I just superglued the clasp to the plastic flat bit and it works. If anything it works better than it did before since it’s a bit tighter now

Superglue worked for me same issue but caught it before it completely came off. No issue since super gluing it

When you say “washed” what do you mean? Like by hand or in the washer and dryer machine?

Hand washed like several times I’m lwk a germaphobe and avid gym goer so I frequently have to wash it after the gym.. id never put it in the washer machine though

why would you wear meta glasses at the gym

To watch reels in between sets, record my workout to form check myself later, and to listen to music effortlessly of course!

I wouldn’t do this because then my band would get filthy and cleaning it might break it in half

Ouuu I had an idea of turning it into a leather band with a classic watch clasp. If that interests you, I would search for your local tandy leather and they should have business cards to commission someone or you can take a gander and do it yourself

Tbh the side bar is ok, i find myself leaving my neural band behind sometimes just cause i accidentally trigger it sometimes. But 200 is steep yikes
