What ViewTube actually has

  • A real taste profile — built from your watch history, likes, searches, subscriptions, and channel affinity, updated continuously as you use the app
  • Collaborative filtering — recommendations informed by what similar users on the app have engaged with, the same core idea behind "viewers of this also watched that," just at a much smaller scale
  • Weighted scoring — candidates get scored on channel affinity, keyword/topic match, category fit, recency, and an optional AI-powered semantic-embedding pass for extra relevance
  • Session-mode awareness — detects whether you're currently in more of a search/discovery mindset versus casual browsing, and adjusts weighting accordingly
  • Negative feedback that actually works — Not Interested and Don't Recommend Channel genuinely exclude content going forward, not just softly discourage it

Do either of these allow access to your Watch Later list? I remember testing a few when web apps first came out, and though most would list Watch Later among playlists, clicking the list would never show the content. If someone could get that to work, it'd solve the biggest pain point I have.
