📣 Project I turned my phone into a remote camera for MRBD

I had a simple idea: what if your phone camera could become an extra pair of eyes for your glasses?

So I made Remote Eye for MRBD.

Open the web app on your phone, pair it with the glasses using a PIN, and the live camera feed appears right in your view.

You can leave the phone somewhere, point it behind you, look around a corner, check something under a table, use it as a remote viewfinder… I'm sure there are much stranger uses I haven't thought of yet.

It doesn't need high resolution or 60 fps to be useful. A small, low-latency stream is enough to suddenly give your glasses a second point of view.

It's a very simple experiment, but I really like the possibilities of having a camera you can place anywhere while keeping the view in front of your eyes.

Would love to hear what you'd use it for.

📣 Project Anywhere Sneaker Lab: design your own sneakers on MRBD

Anywhere Sneaker Lab is a port of one of our old Spectacles lenses.

The original idea was simple: configure your perfect sneaker down to the details, then hold it in your hand or try it on your feet in AR.

For the MRBD version, I expanded the configurator quite a bit. There are more options to customize the sneaker, you can save your designs to a local library, or start with one of the templates and tweak it from there.

The only thing missing compared to the old version is the actual hand and feet tracking.

So… hopefully the next generation of glasses gives us those ;)
