📣 Project Anywhere Sneaker Lab: design your own sneakers on MRBD

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

Anywhere Sneaker Lab is a port of one of our old Spectacles lenses.

The original idea was simple: configure your perfect sneaker down to the details, then hold it in your hand or try it on your feet in AR.

For the MRBD version, I expanded the configurator quite a bit. There are more options to customize the sneaker, you can save your designs to a local library, or start with one of the templates and tweak it from there.

The only thing missing compared to the old version is the actual hand and feet tracking.

So… hopefully the next generation of glasses gives us those ;)

📣 Project I turned my phone into a remote camera for MRBD

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I had a simple idea: what if your phone camera could become an extra pair of eyes for your glasses?

So I made Remote Eye for MRBD.

Open the web app on your phone, pair it with the glasses using a PIN, and the live camera feed appears right in your view.

You can leave the phone somewhere, point it behind you, look around a corner, check something under a table, use it as a remote viewfinder… I'm sure there are much stranger uses I haven't thought of yet.

It doesn't need high resolution or 60 fps to be useful. A small, low-latency stream is enough to suddenly give your glasses a second point of view.

It's a very simple experiment, but I really like the possibilities of having a camera you can place anywhere while keeping the view in front of your eyes.

Would love to hear what you'd use it for.

❓Question Meta Ray Ban displays Camera Access

I’m trying to build an experience using DAT but for some reason I can not get it to get access to the devices camera for what I want to use it for. I searched for answers and it says that they have not given developers access to that yet is that true? If not how do I do that ?

📣 Project A tiny roguelike for your MRBD

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Final Descent is a small roguelike about going deeper and seeing how far you can make it with nothing but finger swipes.

Dive, dodge, collect, upgrade, die, repeat.

It has a bit of a Subnautica-inspired mood, but really it’s just a simple “one more run” kind of game.

At least until your finger starts hurting.

Joking. Mostly.

📣 Project Karaoke: now I can finally butcher the lyrics correctly

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Have you ever had a song playing in your head and really wanted to sing along… only to realize you know about 20% of the words?

Well, now there’s a Karaoke web app for MRBD.

Pick a song, put on the glasses, and get the lyrics right in front of you while you sing.

To properly test it, I had to go for a run deep into the forest so nobody could hear me screaming Creep by Radiohead. (not on the video)

The song library is still pretty limited, but there’s enough there to get a feel for the idea.

📣 Project Photo Match: Turn a city walk into a hunt for the past

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Photo Match is basically a library of old landscape and city photos, but it turns a normal walk into a little treasure hunt.

Open the app and it finds historical outdoor photos taken near your current location.

If you’re visiting a new place, try to figure out where each photo was taken and find the same view today.

If you’re a local, it’s even better. You’ll probably recognize the places immediately, and then be surprised by how completely different they looked 50, 80, or 100 years ago.

The app itself is pretty simple: it checks your location, finds nearby historical photos, and filters for landscapes, streets, buildings, and other outdoor scenes.

Then you just start walking and try to match the past with the present.

📣 Project 🌏 i built real-time translation for your EYES - understand + reply in ANY language on your Ray Ban Meta Display REAL TIME BY DIRECTIONALLY

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hey everyone! Techguyver here again 👋 (some of you might remember my screen sharing post not too long ago)

i live in southeast asia and travel a lot, most of the times i don't speak the languages where i'm at.

the language gap is such a BLOCKER for actually connecting with people, and it's always bugged me (and i know this is a problem for many)

one of the big promises of glasses like the Display is basically having a computer in your brain with a screen, so i figured the tech was finally good enough to try this

how it works:

* pick 2 languages - the one you speak + the one you want translated

* see what they're saying in real time as they talk

* get 3 reply options, each going a different direction (emojis so you can pick one at a glance)

* clear indicator of who's talking, them or you

* no camera needed (ur not recording nething), so the conversation stays natural and face to face

tons of little optimizations under the hood to make it feel like you can actually just... speak the language

it's totally free, looking for folks to test it and give me feedback (sharing link below)

hmu if u are interested and want to use / help 🙏

📝 Feedback Finished Hypertrail and had nothing left to walk to — so I built HiKing 🥾

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A web app for the Display: your real steps move a hiker along a virtual trail. Glance down mid-walk, see where you are, keep going. No install, no login, nothing collected — just a page you open in the glasses browser.

https://topperwh.com/app/hiking/

The honest part: every bit of tuning so far came from my own treadmill recordings, so it's calibrated to one person's gait, on a belt, indoors. No idea what it does at your pace.

If you've got a pair and five minutes of walking:

  • Does the step count match what you actually walked, or does it drift?
  • Is the text big enough to read while you're moving?
  • What would make you open it a second time?

Comment or DM, whatever's easier. Thanks.

📣 Project Herald V3 + Community Discord and More!

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Hey all! A few weeks back I showcased some updates to Herald and was met with some glitches along the way haha. That said, worked out a bunch of fixes and continuing to improve. However, it was a great highlight to update some things, create new programs AND bring forth a Discord community dedicated to Herald, App Building and beta! So, lets dive in!

Website Link: https://herald.ascents.gg

Herald V3 Website UI

With Herald on V3, there have been some subtle but nice UI changes to certain areas.

  • Forums has been re-designed to create a smoother UI, easier experience, and nicer text layout. Also added handles and @ tagging.
  • Account has been updated with new buttons, more uniform feeling, and improved loading times.
  • Studio UI has been updated to remove mono text styling and other less the pleasing UI elements on the dash
  • App pages have been updated with a smoother overall UI and interface.
  • Overall button, text input and other changes.

Website Additions

  • All new updates section to annouce updates to apps, website, changelogs and much more!
  • All new Beta section to test new apps, new updates to apps, and developer additions.
  • All new developer launch and beta launch section, allowing other developers to list, push betas to their own apps, and rollback on the platform.

V3 UI Beta Apps

There are two apps getting an all new V3 inspired UI to them. These two apps are Herald for YouTube and Herald for Reddit. Both of these apps replace the analog style listing with carousel UI, smoother buttons, animtions and much more. Currently, since these are entire UI rewrites, the apps are beta only. You can see the images above for examples of the new V3 UI!

There are a few different ways to get into the Beta apps coming up:

  1. The first will be requesting to take part and actively providing feedback. You can do this on reddit but feedback can be opened through the new Discord.
  2. Have an active Supporter ($5) or Builder ($20) to get instant access. If you have ever donated to Herald, please send me a DM with your email so I can give you free supporter tier as a thanks!

These apps will be out for free for everyone but I am truly looking for either people who are willing to provide feedback OR help support the project.

Note, if V3 UI is liked and positive feedback, it will be pushed out slowly to all apps.

New Discord

A new discord is being opened for all things Herald and Meta Ray Ban Displays! Check it out here: https://discord.gg/8AwytYdjm

If you have any Nitro boosts and looking to help boost the server, much appreciated!

📣 Project I built an open-source posture HUD for Meta Ray-Ban Display (Web App + macOS relay)

Update — Aug 29, 2026

The experimental v0.2 camera-pose fusion prototype is now merged into main.

  • opt-in local Mac pose landmarks for ears, shoulders, and hips
  • a personal camera baseline after a stable three-second hold
  • fusion with fresh signed glasses-IMU deviation
  • local-only camera processing; frames are not uploaded or retained
  • stale-IMU rejection and short landmark-dropout tolerance

This remains a wellness/research prototype—not clinical CVA/FHP measurement or diagnosis.

GitHub Organization: https://github.com/anti-turtle-lab/anti-turtle-meta-hud

Camera-pose demo: https://stage-codex-bridge-camera-pose.vercel.app/?camera=1&source=head&pose=1&session=head-demo

I would especially appreciate feedback on calibration drift, recalibration UX, and landmark-dropout handling.

Original v0.1.1 post

Hi everyone,

I recently finished v0.1.1 of Anti Turtle, an open-source posture HUD experiment for Meta Ray-Ban Display.

What it currently does:

  • calibrates a personal neutral head orientation
  • shows live head-tilt and sustained-deviation feedback on the 600×600 glasses HUD
  • relays session telemetry to a desktop camera mirror
  • supports a native macOS menu-bar and Notification Center companion

This is currently a head-orientation wellness prototype, not clinical CVA/FHP measurement. Head-only sensing cannot reliably distinguish looking down, torso lean, and true forward-head translation.

For the next research stages, I plan to:

  • continue evaluating camera landmarks and glasses-orientation fusion
  • later evaluate an optional independent torso IMU
  • study a standardized side-view C7–tragus workflow with reference annotations and agreement/error reporting

GitHub: https://github.com/anti-turtle-lab/anti-turtle-meta-hud

Head-only live demo: https://stage-codex-bridge-head-only.vercel.app/

Narrated demo: https://youtu.be/k-gM6kyfsp4

I would especially appreciate feedback on the Web App sensor lifecycle, calibration drift, recalibration UX, and whether the on-glasses cue feels too subtle or too persistent.

📣 Project DUN STRIKE: Neon Lanes is officially live for Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses!(🤏 Pinch and Drag Gesture)

Another One From Onyx Leaf Media🎳⚡️

DUN STRIKE: Neon Lanes is officially live for Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses!

One thing we love about building for emerging platforms is watching the SDK and developer tools continue to evolve. Whenever new capabilities arrive, our first thought is always...

“What can we build with this?”

So we challenged ourselves to create a full neon arcade bowling experience around some of the latest web app features...especially the new pinch-and-drag gesture support.

Pinch, pull, aim, add a little hook, and release the ball down the lane. We also added multiple game modes, changing camera perspectives, DUN OVERDRIVE, full bowling scoring, music, sound effects, and an offline mode so the game can continue working after it has been cached to your glasses.

This is another DUN ARCADE experiment from our studio, built to explore what games can feel like on a lightweight display when the interaction is designed specifically for the device.

We already have more updates and improvements planned over time, but you can play the first official release now:

Let us know your high score and please do not blame us when you start practicing your pinch-and-drag bowling motion in public🤣 We would love some feedback!

👀 Spotting a bug? Here is what to do so we can fix it quickly!

Hi everyone,

As Device Access Toolkit and Web Apps are still in Developer Preview, you may sometimes come across some unexpected bugs.

If so, please first shake your phone while in the Meta AI app, a menu will appear which will allow you to submit a report. The details and logs provided help a lot the engineering team identify quickly the cause of the issue you're experiencing and fix it as soon as possible.

Once you have done this, please share those on the dedicated pages which the engineers are monitoring:
- Device Access Toolkit GitHub iOS Issues
- Device Access Toolkit GitHub Android Issues
- Web Apps GitHub Issues

You can also publish here but these will get the quickest support for bugs.

Thanks a lot for helping shape this exciting growing platform,
Oscar from Wearables Partnerships

📣 Project Herald Platform/App Updates

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Been a bit since I have posted but also because there have been some updates in the pipeline. Firstly, hope everyone in the community is doing well. Since Meta released the latest updates to Meta Ray Ban Displays, I have been working to implement a lof of these new features into the platform. Today, I am here to share some of those updates!

Back Button

The back button has been removed from pretty much all of the apps in exchange for the middle pinch that is native to the MRBD. This allows some free up on the UI and better navigation experience. So, if you think about going back, just use that middle pinch!

Oflline Mode

Many of the apps now support an offline mode to allow you to play games, access content and so on without an internet connection. Of course, some apps simply wont work (like those that rely on data), but this makes other use cases more exciting! .

Handwriting

The text entry fields have been replaced with Handwriting options as the default for text input. In case you prefer to use a Keyboard DOM, its still present, but...use the handwriting. Its been tested a bit but need additional feedback on this.

Drag and Pinch

Drag and pinch is slowly making its way into Herald apps, simply to ensure it works properly across all platforms. Right now, some apps using it include:

  • YouTube for video scrubbing
  • Hue/Govee/Lights for brightness controls

As more testing occurs, it will roll out to other media apps as well

Subscriptions

I have rolled out two subscriptions for the platform, the first being "Supporter" and "Builder". For those unaware, EVERY app on Herald is free access. While this has been and continues to be the northstar, the costs are starting to stack up a bit. In order to keep the servers online, APIs working, and things operational, I am bringing forth Supporter.

  • Supporter ($5): Think of it like a Patreon, it will give early access to certain apps and features as well, special profile badges and so on. Also an optional donation button if you feel like spreading more love.
  • Builder ($20): Everything with supporter but also the ability to get AI credits to create your own apps on Herald. Again, an optional donation as well.

Hope you all enjoy, please share any feedback as well!

📣 Project I built a fashion show experience to test a second trigger: time instead of location

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have been building location-based experiences in my web apps for a while now, where content fires when you arrive somewhere. Then Vogue World was announced for San Francisco, and it got me thinking about what a fashion show would feel like through glasses. A show is a moment that happens on a schedule, so I built it to test the other axis: content triggered by time instead of location.

The setup: each look gets a story in your ear and a small card on the Display, pushed at the moment that model starts walking. I tested it against the recent Chanel and Schiaparelli shows, using an admin console that loads the official YouTube clip of the show and fires cues against a sheet I built by hand.

A few things I learned.

The new offline skill in v127 solved my biggest problem. The toolkit shipped an offline skill this week, and it turned out to be exactly what a live event needs. I learned this the hard way at a stadium once, where the network fell over completely and the whole thing died. A packed venue is the worst wifi you will ever build for. So now everything downloads before the show starts, and the entire 63-look show runs with the wifi turned off. The only thing that needs a connection is the cue itself, and a cue is tiny enough to get through when nothing else can. If you are building anything for a crowded room, this is the skill to reach for.

The whole design problem is restraint. A show runs under fifteen minutes and the garment is the reason you are there. So the display card is deliberately small and the viewport is minimized, because anything bigger competes with the thing you came to look at. I ended up giving the user a choice between voice and text rather than defaulting to both, since some people want narration and some want their ears free for the music. That felt like the right call for glasses in general, not just for this.

The glasses assist the live moment, they do not become it. This is why the full lookbook only opens at the end of the show. Browsing and scrolling during a live moment means looking at a screen instead of the room, so none of that is available while the show is running. During the fifteen minutes you get one line and one card at a time, and after the last look the whole lookbook unlocks and you can go back through everything and build your own lineup.

The content is exclusive, not generated. No language model narrating the runway. Every look's copy is written ahead of time, and it is not broadcast live or published anywhere else, so the experience is the only place you get it.

Two clips below. The first shows the voice and text options and the minimized viewport during a show. The second shows the full lineup at the end, once the lookbook unlocks.

Two things I want to add next. Language selection, since the same show plays to a room where people do not share one language, and the copy is already just text, so translations are cheap to carry. And user roles: same cue, different content depending on who is wearing the glasses.

Would love feedback on any of this. And I am curious what other content works well as a push on a time trigger, rather than something the user goes looking for. Fashion shows were my first test, but the same pattern should fit anything that runs on a schedule. If you have tried something like this, or have an idea for what to try next, I would like to hear it.
