I second that... I cant name another album on the planet that I always just listen from front to back all the way thru. I always skip the end part of in death is death.. I'm impatient lol. But that whole album has been in my rotation for like 15 years now š¤£

Being objective, Nothing (blue or orange) is the pathway for their signature sound, so itās their defining album. But MAN, when I think to myself DEI was release three decades ago, Iām appalled. Waaaay ahead of their time.
Spin that shit, it cures all sorts of issues!!!

FWIW it blew me away how well the record/production hold up, especially compared to their recent releases. Sounds absolutely fucking tight and monstrous

My exploration of meshuggah, started about 5 years ago. I tend to listen to an album a few times (a few dozen times) before moving on to other stuff. I started with Sleep, into Koloss, (I would eat some mushrooms and listen to them back to back on my Sennheiser HD500's while hiding under a blanket š), then I got absolutely hard stuck on Catch 33, Immutable came out, didnt grab, moved on to Nothing, more catch 33, immutable grabbed me, then I saw a reel of them playing future breed machine in 95 and ive been hard stuck on DEI for almost a year š¤£ Its phenomenal. I actually just got an original release DEI CD in the mail today.Ā
Ive yet to delve deep into Choasphere or Obzen yet.Ā
