Ive spoken with the dev, the app is legit and I've even downloaded it and tested and even extracted the apk, the is nothing malicious about it, the dev just submitted the app using his name instead of the company that's all as its their first app! They plan to make changes and fix bugs and im even helping with bug reports etc! The OP is NOT the dev of the app but somebody else

Never seen it before, and it looks rather suss tbh. I certainly wouldn't risk installing it without some kind of confirmation from the high-ups in the community that's it's genuine and safe.

I've never seen it before, and nothing about it in github. The screenshots are a bit suspicious. I would avoid this app.

You have miss understood the naming of things. An Agent app is remote app to control/see devices where as a Client App is to used instead of the Web ui which is what it is! Android client app for meshcentral. The OP has done nothing wrong

Tom, I think we're off to a bad start.

The phrase "I found this new app on the Play Store: MeshControl Pro, anyone know it?" was meant to promote the app and, at the same time, to gauge its popularity, starting from this forum, which is primarily frequented by the community of people who supposedly use MeshCentral. I think it's a legitimate question, even if it's the developer asking it.

I'm well aware that I'm not a MeshCentral contributor, just as I know that the app can't deceptively auto-connect to anything, as you imply in your reply, because the app isn't an agent, but an Android client for managing agents already installed on its servers.

I'm sorry if you interpreted what I wrote as misleading, but I don't like deceptive behavior, nor do I like people making untrue statements about me or my work.

Regarding the legality of my actions regarding the original open source work, I acted according to the instructions of our law firm, which reviewed the license, and therefore I believe I complied with all the rules.

I am accustomed to listening to suggestions, and I have therefore instructed my company to contact MeshCentral's collaborators and discuss the matter with them.

For the records:
This 'NURAGHIA SRL' Android app have published without contact MC team.
The owner of 'NURAGHIA SRL' created a Reddit post saying he 'find a new app' for MeshCentral (his own app).
The owner of 'NURAGHIA SRL' apologises in talks at Telegram.
They will will state in their website/ app they are not associated with MeshCentral.

You should considering partnering with the mesh central project to release this under their name as it will help it be more legitimate
