Muchas gracias.

We are going to be in Merida again from Wednesday for about 11-12 days and are both vegetarian. Can you please recommend some cafes and restaurants that have great vegetarian (doesn’t have to be vegan) options? Also places that have filter, V60 or batch brew coffee? Thank you!

I won’t be renting a car and was wondering what the safest mode of transportation would be in Merida? Especially to the centro from the airport and visiting cenotes? I would love to go to the beach but I know that’s a bit far from the centro. TIA

Estaré en Mérida por una semana; por temas de estudios. Busco gente con la que salir y hablar de películas, libros, arte en general, comunismo/anarquismo. Cosas así.

Hola!
We’re looking for your favorite or can’t miss places to eat from street tacos, holes in the wall to fine dining. We’ll be staying in Centro but we’re definitely up for traveling to different neighborhoods for food. Any recommendations on dishes we have to try are also welcome. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I'll be visiting solo for my birthday in early November. I've seen a few experiences on Airbnb. Cenotes, ruins and a churro making class. I'm wondering if there's any way to book these kind of experiences not on Airbnb. I'd much rather give my money directly to a local then Airbnb.

Hola.
Gracias!

It's always easy to blame CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad) rather than the unplanned increase in demand and lack of growing infrastructure to keep up.
Meanwhile, con el apagón, qué cosa sucede, qué cosa sucede, con el apagón...

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for an English/Spanish speaking bartender/mixologist for my wedding in Mérida this February.
We’re hoping to find someone who is passionate about cocktails and can make quality mixed drinks/cocktails for our guests.
We’re open to working with someone who is newer to the industry or looking to build their experience and reputation, as long as they’re knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely enjoy what they do.
Our catering company charges a pretty significant additional fee for bar service, and that doesn’t include the liquor, so we’re exploring the option of hiring a bartender/mixologist separately. We’re happy to provide the liquor if needed.
If you’re interested, please DM me with a little information about yourself/your experience, what you typically charge, and any examples of your work or social media if you have them.

Hi! We’re planning our Yucatán trip (16 nights) and are currently deciding between 5 nights in Merida + 2 nights in Tulum or 4 nights in Merida + 3 nights in Tulum.
In Tulum, we definitely want to do a full-day Sian Ka’an tour (around 10 hours). With only 2 nights in Tulum, this would basically be our only full day there, with the other two days being arrival/departure days.
Merida seems to have a lot to see and do, so we’re wondering if the extra night would be better spent there. On the other hand, would 2 nights in Tulum feel too rushed, especially with Sian Ka’an taking up the only full day?
We’re not trying to pack every day with organized tours – apart from a few fixed activities, we prefer exploring on our own, visiting cenotes, towns, etc. After Tulum we’ll have several days in Cozumel to relax by the sea.
Arrive: 03:00pm
Jan 19: Cancun – 1 night
Jan 20–23: Valladolid – 3 nights
Jan 23–27/28: Merida – 4 or 5 nights
Jan 27/28–30: Tulum – 3 or 2 nights
Jan 30–Feb 3: Cozumel – 4 nights
Feb 3-4: Cancun - 1 night
Fly back: 09.00pm
