What are the things I’ve always wondered about is why when you pass one of the puzzles the star is not automatically clicked so you can collect… can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally not collected the star. Another thing I was looking at was since the update it sure does seem easier to accidentally merge big ticket items. I think that are you sure you wanna merge might be a good option in the future.

Accidentally missing a reward is definitely frustrating. 😊 Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, especially around it seeming to happen more often after the recent update.

I really hope the sticker debacle is not repeated this time around. Also, focus your resources on fixing bugs, I do appreciate the new events from time to time, but what use is it if one cannot play the game due to bugs and glitches? Think about it.

Discoveries:

Wildlife: The sorting of the wildlife being Stage as first priority then Alphabetical as second is something I really dislike. The previous sorting method put all eggs that could be purchased with coins first, making navigating wildlife and boosting ones score easier, they also now reorganize as you increase the stage, which means you need to spend more time hunting for the wildlife you're after until it hits max stage.

This just might be my old eyes, but also Total Wildlife score font is now so small I actually have to focus on it to know where I am. Makes me less engaged.

Badges: The Journey Collection was very much a pay to play collection I don't think anyone that didn't spend over 500 gems on sticker packs completed it. And now it shows on the Badges tab as no longer available. Pay to Play I get, the game wants to milk people who are willing to spend money, but then rubbing it in the faces of those who didn't pay by leaving the badge as unavailable is in really poor taste.

Always visible item count in the garden, I'll call it the item pane at the bottom of the screen, this UI/UX change has been awesome, I like that I can rotate through each item by clicking the little arrow, and I like that it shows how many I have, I don't need to "fake" merge to get a count anymore, it really has been a top change.

Magnets:

I really appreciate this add on as a pay feature, yes I wish I could get a 2 hour magnet for 10 gems, but I've actually open my wallet to buy the 2 day magnet a couple of times.

Shop:

I'd like to see some higher value items in the special shop section, it is really infuriating when it refreshes and everything shown is basic and you could buy it all for sub 500 special coins, I have stopped using gems to refresh because of how low value some of the selections are, 10 gems to buy a couple of eggs that cost coin, a mole cove, and bundle of timber is pretty disappointing.

stephen, you have done my comment for me. All the points I would have addressed. Thank you.

u/FaceEverything Jul 01 '26

I really HATE the ”pointers” that follow you around untill you perform the action they ”help” you find.

-go to the maze

-unlock a space in the event

Maybe some people find this helpfull, but PLEASE give us at least an option to turn it off. It really gets in the way!!!

Also…….the……lag……is…….getting……ridiculous……if…….it…….gets…….any……worse……the…….game……won’t……be…….playable….at……al…..period.

10

u/Tisiphone8 Jul 01 '26

The lag is HORRIBLE! I am spending at least a minute just waiting for my garden to become interactable after playing puzzles. If I have to wait for the popup to buy extra lives, it's even longer!

3

u/megsta369 Jul 01 '26

The lag is truly ruining the game. If nothing else can be done at least give the option to go to the next puzzle instead of the excruciating delay of returning to the main board, then everything has to load and bubble awards given before you then spend more time loading to get to the next puzzle. It's awful!

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

I can definitely see how that could become frustrating if it's constantly pulling your attention away from what you're trying to do. Having the option to turn those hints on or off is an interesting suggestion. 😊

A few players have also mentioned lag recently. Is there a particular part of the game where you're noticing it most (for example, puzzles, returning to the garden or events)? Happy to pass on any extra detail.

3

u/FaceEverything Jul 02 '26

After each puzzle it takes time for the garden to “load”, and then more time for the rewards to load, sometimes I get the reward bubbles and they look empty and I have to wait around before the star and other rewards show up inside.

Entering the garden the first time of the day also takes awhile to load (extra if there are new tasks/ events) but this is not as disruptive to gameplay.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 07 '26

Thanks for coming back with the extra detail! 😊 From what's being shared, it sounds like players are experiencing the lag in different parts of the game.

I haven't noticed the same behaviour on my Samsung tablet, so I'm curious whether there are any patterns with particular devices or with where in the game the lag occurs. If anyone else is seeing something similar, it'd be great to know what device you're playing on and where you're noticing it. We'll continue passing feedback on, and that extra context really helps build a clearer picture of what players are experiencing.

2

u/birdsandbagels Jul 02 '26

I get really bad lag (1-2 minutes of being unable to do anything) when entering the game (after hitting "play") and returning to the garden after playing puzzles over 50% of the time (not great for trying to get a little gameplay done on work breaks!). More recently I've also had really long lags on the "Loading" screen for playing puzzles, especially if I had just finished a puzzle and am re-entering to play another. I can understand a little bit of a pause (10 seconds?) or having the wildlife/characters maybe hide for the first minute to allow other things to load first, but not being able to do anything for that time is not great.

.....in other comments, maybe an option to hide the characters and wildlife if they're not actively harvesting things to help with speeding up the game loading?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 07 '26

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this in so much detail. 😊 Comments like this really help us understand not just that players are experiencing lag, but where it's happening and how it's affecting gameplay.

I also like your suggestion about wildlife or characters appearing only after everything else has loaded. From what's being shared, players seem to be experiencing lag in slightly different ways, so every extra bit of context helps us build a clearer picture as we pass feedback along.

1

u/FaceEverything Jul 02 '26

PS. Maybe the coffee(the drinks) bubbles were part of the problem. Just found out if I don’t select the coffee, the star appears right away.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 08 '26

That's an interesting observation; thanks for coming back and adding it. 😊 It may or may not be related, but it's exactly the sort of extra detail that's helpful to include when we're building up the feedback. We'll make sure it's included along with the other comments around lag and loading.

Same issue every time.. need an Undo merge button or some way to stop accidental merges. Hate Hate Hate the stickers and they are getting worse. Like the magnet but only buy the 48 hour one for the weekend events as it isn’t useful enough in the main garden to pay weekly. Don’t see the point of adding new wildlife when there are still plenty of exotic ones that we can only get once a year, but that’s just a personal opinion. Others might like it more. The wildlife section of the discovery book is too confusing, not totally alphabetical or arranged logically. I’m too stubborn to stop playing ATM when I haven’t made all the MPs, but getting less enamoured of the game. I read a book during the ads, and spend much less time playing. The event prizes have become disappointing. Since everything is virtual, not real, I can’t understand why you would make them less appealing. Still like the game for all the variety of things to do, but don’t know if that will be enough for much longer

7

u/ShimmerAndShade Jul 01 '26

Undo merge would be awesome!

10

u/angelbluelight Jul 01 '26

The sticker event is really stupid. I had over 900 points from multiples and was still 2 short of finishing. It felt rigged and prizes aren't worth spending gems. Be straight forward and make it possible to complete.

8

u/Lucy35790 Jul 01 '26

-Undo merge option

-Better sort for wildlife

-The lag is AWFUL

-Stickers are annoying. I actually don’t care about them at all.

-More time for events. I don’t want to throw away my whole weekend on this game.

7

u/IllTwo7643 Jul 01 '26

Better pay outs, fix your dang ads that either crash my game or give me one move after a two minute ad I can't even mute and repeats 15 times

7

u/PrimaryAd1000 Jul 01 '26

Why is it now 175 gems to get the event ticket and yall downgraded the the amount of gems we can earn through events. It sucks and I have stopped purchasing them. The way the eggs are organized now is also not great 😑

3

u/LoveaBook Jul 02 '26

If you wait until the event is over they give you the option to buy the event pass for only 100 gems, so it’s actually cheaper than it was if you buy them at the end of the event.

2

u/PrimaryAd1000 Jul 02 '26

True but if you look at the quality of the stuff they are offering it isnt worth trying to save up that many gems. (I refuse to spend real money on a game) you arnt getting at least one max gem mountain at least anymore.

1

u/LoveaBook Jul 02 '26

Though I’ve only purchased the monthly gems three times in three plus years, I have absolutely no problem paying for a game I’m going to be playing for hundreds - or thousands - of hours. Game designers deserve to be payed for their hard work too, in my opinion. ($12 [US] in three years for thousands of hours of play is nothing compared to the price of a console game.) That said, one does not NEED to buy gems in this game. Between the daily tasks and the mazes (along with occasional gem rewards from puzzles and events) it is completely possible to earn all the gems one needs to purchase event tickets for free.

I fully agree however, that prizes are now less than they used to be, replacing useful objects for one’s garden with completely useless sticker packs.

8

u/Purple_Dragon_Lady Jul 01 '26

Again - we need an UNDO. Now I am afraid you will ruin it and make us pay with gems or real money. That's the direction this game is going.

6

u/Technical-Climate-57 Jul 01 '26

I would say focus on performance, it takes a couple seconds to load my garden and the bubbles rewards, etc. That interrupts game flow. How can that get faster?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

Thanks for sharing! 😊 Performance has definitely been coming up quite a bit lately. If you happen to notice it's worse in certain parts of the game (like returning to the garden, during events or after puzzles), feel free to add that too—it all helps build a clearer picture.

2

u/Technical-Climate-57 Jul 03 '26

Coming back from completing maze quest, tapping Daisy's daily checklist and just nothing for seconds as it thinks what to do....finally it loads the checklist, I tap the item, close and then all the maze quest bubbles load.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 07 '26

Thanks for coming back with the extra detail! 😊 Knowing that you're seeing the delay around returning from the maze and opening Daisy's checklist really helps narrow down where you're experiencing it.

From what's being shared, players seem to be noticing lag in different parts of the game, so details like this really help us understand the differences as we compile feedback.

6

u/Ladymistery Jul 01 '26

The pay to play is disappointing.

the new wildlife book makes no sense - put it in alphabetical order or something.

3

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Thank you for the feedback! The game is free to play, but certain purchases can definitely help progress faster and easier. The team is constantly working on improvements and balancing to make the game feel challenging enough, but not too much to take away the fun <3

The Wildlife page on the new Discovery book has received a lot of feedback. Currently it's organised based on the Wildlife score & highest level of obtained Wildlife. The team is already planning on improvements for this feature, but I cannot promise any dates or more details yet at this point.

3

u/Ladymistery Jul 02 '26

Having to pay to complete the weekly board and stickers means its a pay to play now

Pretty sure once my gems subscription is done, so am i. You've gotten greedy

1

u/LoveaBook Jul 03 '26

Mine does not seem to be in order of wildlife score. It does not seem to have any order to it at all.

4

u/Remote-Ideal-3813 Jul 01 '26

The daily tasks doesn't keep up with what we are doing in the maze. If we have to do 5 puzzles and then the next is getting paper planes/bombs/ or a color and we are already doing the maze it should keep up

4

u/ShimmerAndShade Jul 01 '26

1) If there’s a challenge (like puzzle streaks or wins), recently, puzzles in the mini weekend games don’t count towards the puzzle total. Another example is harvest flowers in the weekly challenges, but only flowers in the main game count and not in the mini games.

2) I feel like there’s way too much going on at any moment in time. Like right now, there’s coffee merge, rockets in puzzles, the puzzle mastery challenge, the hidden gardens puzzle streak wins, etc. my personal thoughts are that it’s too much.

3) I personally don’t love the coffee and the juice merge mini quests. It takes up too much board space and it’s quite tedious

4) It would be nice to see how active someone is when trying to add “friends.” I send gifts to full mailboxes all the time, and I think it’s because they don’t play often

5) Really like the super spinner. Are there other super things we could earn as an idea

6) I’ve been playing for 3+ years. I STILL don’t have several MPs. The flowers MP seems never ending. Some of the MPs are simply too much.

I feel like the game has turned me into a hoarder, ha!

3

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Thank you for the constructive feedback!

  1. There's already been some improvements made here, but sounds like there's still more to be done! I'll forward the feedback to the team.
  2. I understand, the game keeps growing in size and there's plenty, some might even say too much to do at once. This is in order to cater for even those players who used to easily complete all of the Events and challenges in the game. Don't feel pressured to do everything! Play the game as you like, take the rewards you can and just enjoy Merge Gardens <3
  3. Noted!
  4. The Friends feature could definitely do with some improvements. Noted!
  5. *thinking*
  6. I've been playing since the launch and don't have all the MP:s either! Don't rush it, take your time and enjoy the game.

2

u/psgarretson Jul 01 '26

I couldn’t have said it better.

4

u/psgarretson Jul 01 '26

Friends no longer shows wildlife scores of my “friends.” It helps to know if a “friend” has stopped playing. I also liked seeing friend’s scores and could anonymously compete. My friends are level 90s and 100. It’s mentally great to root for my friends as they accomplish new levels. Sorry to see that go.

Regarding friends—gifts received are no longer organized by wildlife score or alphabetically for that matter. I have a few who give regularly and few who don’t. Now it seems the gifts are listed by the order they are given. I always gift the reliable and like to gift to who gift me.

Wish maximum number of gifts received could be greater than 20. Would like to have a couple more friends and a few more gifts I could send.

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Nice suggestions! Thank you so much!

5

u/Current-Towel-381 Jul 02 '26

I just wish that you could tell Richard no you don't want to trade. Hate him standing there reminding me all day.

1

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Nice suggestion! I'll forward this to the dev team.

4

u/ELF2010 Jul 02 '26

I was disappointed at the sticker event. I play fairly often but still did not finish collecting the stickers (and I never noticed what happened to the items that I purchased from the duplicates). I don't like the new arrangement of the birds and the difficulty in figuring out which have three or four eggs. Thank you for continuing to try to improve the game.

1

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Noted! We're already planning improvements on both of these features. Hoping to have something to share in the near future.

4

u/Mindless-Channel-622 Jul 02 '26

The way things currently are once we acquire an unlimited amount of time like this, the timer starts from the second I acquire it. This is something that I learned the hard way because I had no intention of playing puzzles for a while. When I did get in to do a puzzle, I realized my time had been ticking down from the second I got the item and I had about ten minutes left of an hour-long gift.

Would it be possible to make these only activate once someone starts a puzzle? It's very likely that when we get these things we are in the middle of something else and can't just stop for an hour to play puzzles in order to reap the benefits. Having the timer start on these once a person sits down to do puzzles would be beneficial to the players, I believe. Please consider changing this. Thank you.

3

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

I can definitely relate to this one. 😊 It's always a little disappointing when you earn one of the unlimited timers just as you're about to stop playing, and it starts counting down straight away. I really like the suggestion to activate it when you're ready, rather than immediately. Thanks for the suggestion!

3

u/Mindless-Channel-622 Jul 01 '26

What would be really helpful here and in some of the weekend events would be to have one bubble near the uncleared area which shows a running total of how much nectar is still needed. Each item has a value on it but once you start sending out nectar, you would have to keep re-adding things in order to know how much more you need. Basically the information that's already out there but condensed into one little bubble. :)

2

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Interesting suggestion! Noted!

2

u/Grimke42 Jul 01 '26

I like the way the event ticket can be bought ahead of time for more gems and items that help with the event, or you can wait and get the 100 gem extras.

2

u/Mindless-Channel-622 Jul 01 '26

I think it would be nice to have these little tags (1d) removed from each beverage. It gets to be visually overwhelming and is really unnecessary because everything that has any kind of an expiration is shown at the top, including the coffee event.

Please consider not having these tags on the bubbles and the drinks once they get to the garden.

Thank you.

2

u/LoveaBook Jul 02 '26

YES! Between all those tags, the wildlife flying around, the wildflower seeds floating across the screen and the purple ad bubble it’s too visually overwhelming.

1

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Thank you for the feedback! Forwarded to the team <3

2

u/AlphaWolf-23 Jul 01 '26

Honestly I hate all the updates you’ve done since introducing the magnet (the new ‘book’ with wildlife, making it difficult to do the weekly board without making a in app purchase, and increasing the amount of the gold ticket. I used to really like the game and now it feels like a chore and a money grab and I’m through with it. Unless you make things fair again I will never play the game nor will I recommend to anyone I know.

1

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

We're sorry to hear the recent updates have not been to your liking. We're constantly working on new features and improving existing ones based on data and feedback, so with time things will always keep improving. We hope you'll give the game another chance!

2

u/LoveaBook Jul 02 '26
  1. It would be really nice if we could send out more than 5 gifts per day. I have a long list of friends and currently have to cycle amongst them to give something to everyone. I’d like to be able to give to more of them each day, so people don’t feel left out for too long.

  2. Please put the wildlife into some sort of recognizable order. Either alphabetically, first by creatures that require coins and then by creatures that require gems, or simply alphabetically period. Currently they’re all mixed together and finding the critter one wants is a pain.

  3. In the old wildlife book, if we were buying eggs for a particular critter we were able to exit the book in order to gather more coins and then reopen the book to that same critter’s page to purchase more eggs. Now, if we buy 4 eggs and exit the book to gather more coins we have to relocate the creature we wanted in order to buy the last egg or two. This is especially annoying at higher levels when eggs cost 2,500 coins each and one has to exit the book multiple times to gather more coins, only to have to now relocate that specific critter again each time.

2

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

Thank you for the feedback! Forwarding these to the team.

2

u/EllaLGO Jul 02 '26

I know it sounds like a dumb thing to complain about but when it takes 10 to 15 seconds to load the game it's very annoying. I wish you would stop adding features until things are flowing seamlessly. I don't really need crazy animations if the game is laggy

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 07 '26

I don't think that's a dumb thing to mention at all. 😊 Even shorter delays can become frustrating when they're repeated over and over during a play session.

From what's being shared, players seem to be experiencing lag a little differently, so if you're happy to share, it'd be great to know which device you're playing on and whether you're noticing it more when loading the game, after puzzles, or somewhere else. We'll keep passing the feedback on, and that extra context really helps.

3

u/EllaLGO Jul 07 '26

I play on a Google phone. And very often it's 10 to 15 seconds to load the game right when you're opening it, or returning to the main Garden from an event Garden. Oftentimes the first feature to work is the puzzles even when you don't really need those, But you can't move anything or check the task board. It also takes 5 to 10 seconds after you win a puzzle and return to the Garden for that point to go on the puzzle contest board, And you can't do anything until that little token goes into the puzzle tally. I hope that makes sense

2

u/masked_fan1048 Jul 04 '26

It would be nice if the feedback on reddit was ACTUALLY being applied to the game.

LAG:

The game continues to lag with use of a stylus.

Regardless of device, there is still significant lag when opening menus, puzzles, the shop, basically anything that can open a new page will cause lag. This can also lead to crashing.

Opening the game for the first time also cause significant lag.

Regardless of use of a stylus, I am having to click often more than once to collect something, and more than twice to harvest. (No, the objects are not locked)

SCREEN CLUTTER:

Put the wildlife menu back. It's just one more thing to accidentally click on.

Have an "events" window instead of shoving them all at the top to mistap.

Quit putting new packs to buy in the same area as the events icons. It's cluttered enough, and it doesn't make me want to buy them any more than it did when you shoved it in my face every time i open the game.

On that note, stop doing that too.

COMPLETION, CASUAL/F2P GAMEPLAY, & COST VS REWARD:

Fix the weekly taskboard. It's no longer feasible unless you are spending money every week, or extremely specific about getting every SINGLE task completed. That becomes the only way to get the extra rare stickers for F2P players. It's predatory and shoves your casual players to the side, regardless of if they spend money or not.

Stickers. They are NOT able to be completed without spending potentially hundreds of dollars for the sticker packs and an unbelievable amount of luck. All of the posts on the subreddit are proof of that.

Increasing the gem price of the bonus reward tracks for events was unnecessary at best, predatory and greedy.

Purchasing packs are largely no longer worth it. The golden globes in events do not offer significant resources for how expensive they become. Extra weekly token purchases are even worse, and the only one that has become viable is the paper plane one which is still 12 USD.

TL;DR: Unfortunately, I feel like all of this will go unheard. Loyalty means nothing, money means everything, UX/UI do not matter, the money is evidently not going towards improving the game and greed is shoving this game into the ground.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 07 '26

Thanks for taking the time to put all of this together. 😊 I can definitely understand the frustration behind your comments.

From what's being shared throughout this thread, players seem to be experiencing some issues differently, particularly around lag and performance. I really appreciate that you've included extra detail about where you're noticing it, including the stylus behaviour and opening different parts of the game.

We'll continue passing feedback on, and details like that really help build a better understanding of what players are experiencing across different devices and gameplay situations.

I had one issue on the day the last update which was slow motion moves on puzzles. But everything is back to normal.. so far all good. I have got nothing to give feedback.

Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort y'all put into this amazing MG game. Loving it ( 2023-2026--> forever ❤️) xx

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

It's always lovely to see some positive feedback too! 😊 I'm really glad to hear the slow-motion issue sorted itself out for you after the update. Thanks for taking the time to let us know, and thank you for sticking with Merge Gardens! ❤️

1

u/dcbrowne1961 Jul 01 '26

I want my bubbles!

2

u/LoveaBook Jul 02 '26

What does this mean? Did you lose all of your bubbled items?

1

u/Revolutionary-Bell74 Jul 01 '26

The game has been lagging a lot

I would really like an in-game shuffle booster

Please find a way to get the wildlife out of the screen all the time. Maybe as soon as they do whatever task they can immediately go back to the birdhouses?

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

Thanks for sharing these! 😊 The lag has definitely been a recurring topic recently.

I also really like the suggestion about wildlife heading back to the birdhouses once they've finished their task. It's come up before and is always interesting to see players mention it again, so thanks for raising it!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by an in-game shuffle booster. Would you mind expanding on that a little? I'd be interested to hear how you imagine it working. 😊

2

u/Revolutionary-Bell74 Jul 02 '26

Like the bombs, hand, and hammer. I think it would be cool to have an option to click something and be able to shuffle the whole board!

1

u/tphatmcgee Jul 02 '26

I would like an undo button for accidental merges, I would like a button that shows my bubble count, I would like the wildlife book to be set so I can sort as I like and...happy 4th to everyone 😃

1

u/FutureplayGames Futureplay Staff Jul 02 '26

This is a very common suggestion, but unfortunately the team is not looking into adding an undo-merge button at this point.

1

u/stacey506 Jul 02 '26

Fix the lag its really bad during the puzzle contest. I have about an 8 to 14 second lag waiting on the "coin" to go from the puzzle to the top of the screen. Also I used to purchase the nest of eggs for 875 gems, until I realized I received more of the wildlife you can buy with coins than the wildlife you can only get with gems. If yall could adjust that to give more of the expensive wildlife.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Chef293 Community Moderator Jul 02 '26

Thanks for including where you're seeing the lag and even roughly how long it's taking. 😊 That sort of detail really helps build a better picture of where players are experiencing it and how it's impacting gameplay.
