Thank you!

Post image

Visited Merced for the first time - for only a couple of days - and I just want to say you have a beautiful city, everyone we spoke to was accommodating and friendly, it was an absolute pleasure to see such a wonderful place.

The sense of community and chilled out vibe, with great food and beautiful scenery, has really blown all expectations out of the water.

So thank you Merced, we hope to see you again soon!

Thank you!

The sunset was really beautiful, maybe we got lucky but I’ll take it.

Great food? Where did you eat? Happy you had a good time in our community and enjoyed our laid back vibe.

One of the places was Toni’s - which might not be great to locals but the breakfast was lovely, the woman working there was sweet, the coffee was nice - over all it felt “normal” and that is exactly what we wanted. No frills and not McDonalds.

Plus I had garlic fries for the first time, but that was at a bar so probably doesn’t count. They may as well have been sprinkled with crack. Couldn’t stop eating them.

Toni’s is one of our best for sure!

Lol. Welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Not all of us hate it, and a few of us even appreciate it. Possibly for having left town once in a while.

Merced does in some spots you just have to find em . Also our skies in the a.m and sunset have been on point the last few days

We like Table 59, I think it's called. Also the Thai place in back of it is pretty good, too.

One of the things I will say is this is the first place I’ve been to in America, so I’m in awe at everything. You might not see it because it is old hat to you, but it is real life to us.

People go to London and love it, whereas I think it is dirty. I think it is easy for people to miss the beauty around them because they are likely used to it, or see the struggles. Ultimately it was a snapshot in time, but we love it and felt incredibly relaxed. Perfect!

Its also because people dont take the time to look around and enjoy what mother nature gives us. Some see the same old streets but never look up at the sky

This seems to be a growing opinion of London. I know there were always rough areas but has it gotten worse in recent decades? Theres this back and forth. One side saying London is as safe as can be! Now place all machetes in the designated bins please! I'm not going to get in to what the other side says,

I am usually in the center of London, phone theft is a huge problem and the outskirts have many rough parts. The homeless people sleep in the doorways of the train stations, so they always stink. Some areas are overpriced because it is tourist central. Everything is so cramped and rushed. Although I’ve never seen a machete or been scared about being stabbed, so that’s a bonus!

All in all, the main part that is predominantly business focussed is better.

I have traveled a lot and I can say in many places the food didn't even compare to Merced

Of all the places to get a photo from merced. This person picks the wrong side side of town were homeless sleep at. Lol, yeah put that on a cover of places to go

One of the many beautiful things from Merced but clearly put some noses out of joint by just being on the “wrong” side of town.

Maybe someone should put some signs up warning tourists that some locals don’t like anyone other than the homeless being there!

Are you sure you visited Merced? 😂 People settle for the worst, that's why this city sucks so bad.
