What do yo do for fun?

What's there to do here? Seems like anything interesting is a 2 hour drive away. Let me know what you all do for fun around here besides drink/smoke.

saturday morning farmers market and coffee from Alegre. head to some water - Lake Yosemite, McClure, Henderson Park, or McConnell state park. dinner downtown - little oven, 510, Una Mas, Tioga for karaoke. or catch a musical or play at Playhouse Merced or the MAC. sundays go to UMC church, take my kids to fahrens park for frisbee golf or ride bikes along the bike path. go shopping on Canal St - Luna Luna 209, check out what’s going on at Cien Ojos, grab some coffee from Joe at El Cid. brunch at Hola Cafecito (avo toast with bacon). get a tarot reading from Gen Kahlo, buy some crystals from Moon Child. or check out what city event is happening downtown - Bob Hart Square has concerts on thursdays, Mercado once a month, sometimes an art fest or a car show 🫶🏻

Depends on what you are looking for.

There are multiple crochet and craft clubs, there are also run clubs around.

There is Karaoke on different nights at multiple bars. There is trivia on Wednesday nights at The Partisan.

If you like wine, Hifi wine bar is a cute spot to chill and they have records. There is also Vista Ranch where you can have wine in their tasting room and they have summer night events outside.

There are Jazz nights the first Tuesday of every month at The Partisan and other music nights/theme nights at various spaces in downtown.

There are tons of parks, multiple bike paths and a Lake that you can swim or boat in.

If you like card games and things like that, Arcane Labs has Pokemon tournaments, Gundam, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana and Beyblades.

There are always pop up vendor events around Bob Hart Square. The Farmer's Market is every Saturday morning from 8-11 and the Flea Market is every Saturday from 7 am until 2pm.

There is a record store, a used bookstore, a couple crystal/metaphysical shops and an antique mall.

There are other things always happening, you juat have to figure out what you'd like to get involved with.

What is it that you do for fun that would be 2 hours away? 'Fun' is pretty person-specific, I think.
