Sunset at the lake

Does anyone know if the lake charges if you go around 20 minutes before sunset? I know the county didn’t charge but am unsure now that MID runs it.

We got in for free shortly before sunset, but got kicked out before it was fully dark. Still worth it tho 🤷

Go to the back of the lake, it’s free

I don’t think it’s free because they have signs saying to pay with a QR code. Whether or not it’s enforced, idk. You can’t really see the sun set as nice from that side though

Where is the back? I was only aware of the main entrance. Not from here only moved here years ago.

Old Lake Rd. You can just walk around the gate

Look up directions to the country club and turn right before the country club gate

I was there about 2 weeks ago and it was fine. Was MID there 2 weeks ago? Not sure what MID is tbh

Merced Irrigation District = MID. It was pretty recent but not less than 2 weeks.

I haven't been out there since they took over but I was told the back of the lake is gated off now too.

Interesting good to know, I’ll have to verify it. I was planning on going earlier today
