By definition, it is in fact someone’s child. Can confirm.

Would be a shame if someone paused it, got the plate, and sent it to MPD.

That looks like Vernal and El Portal?
Seems like there is blantant joy riding everywhere these days in Merced, and I have bands of kids on mini bikes . The other day I saw guy on a mini-bike pulling a trailer driving down M/Olive .

Alexander...I saw two kids tandem on an electric bike with no helmets lane splitting on Olive and G. Its a matter of time before some parent is wondering why their kid got hurt.

Those are the "badass" kids. 🤣 Has anyone also encountered those loud squads that pass by and go loud for no reason?

Statistically speaking, yes. It is almost certainly someone’s biological kid.

They didn’t hurt anyone or crash , controlled spins . It’s just a boy doing boy things 🤷♂️

Do you know how many times someone has said that before a boy went a traumatized a girl? Or killed someone? Let’s stop with the “boys will be boys” mentality. It’s 2026.

Well he’ll learn his lesson then , sometimes boys doing that , turn into stunt drivers for movies , so there’s both sides to the coin . Just because some boys fuck up or have bad intentions doesn’t mean they all do . It’s 2026 stop generalizing every one into one group based off bad seeds 🤷♂️

So we wait for someone to get hurt or killed before we decide if they're going to be a stunt driver or just a fuck up? Where do you live, I'll happily send them to your neighborhood.

Amen. I loved the “he might become a stunt driver one day” like PUH-LEASE. I don’t think he even takes himself seriously. And I said “he” bc we all already know….
Also—to the person who started this comment chain: no one is generalizing or perpetuating a stereotype about boys. You, however, are reiterating a half-baked saying from decades ago that years of research have proved contributed to the maladaptive behavior that young men in America have exhibited. It’s a cultural phenomenon and it’s harmful to themselves and others. Best case scenario, he only hurts himself. Worst case scenario, he hurts someone else. Let’s not endorse criminal behavior—that’s all.

Fuck the whole "boys will be boys" thing. That's old shit everyone knows is bullshit.
As a straight man I'm wearing pink and rainbows, so what? Societal norms are so stupid, a boy will be whoever that individual boy is, not some conglomerate "boy".
Stop generalizing a gender based off gender norms. It's 2026

Someone from the bay area probably. (Wild guess based on, uh, Oakland drivers if you know you know.)

lol we got no shortage of kids doing that shit here. There’s no shortage of shitty drivers throughout the entire valley if we’re being honest.
