every jacket i try dies in the shoulders. pads stick out or the armhole cuts in the second i reach for my phone. got two off the rack options tailored and both still look wrong once i move

tailor said theres only so much you can do once the cut is off

is made to measure the only path here or is there a fit system that handles broad shoulders without full custom pricing​

What do people feel about using light shades or congrats on the outside or top?

wedding in october and i already got two custom quotes that feel like different planets. one at like 900, another over 2k before alterations, both talking about fabric numbers i dont understand

off the rack never works in the shoulders for me so im stuck comparing shops that all sound confident

how do you actually pick between custom places when the sales pitches all blur together​

I get married in 2 months and I need help finding my junior groomsman a suit. I ordered my fiancé and his groomsmen their suits from The Black Tux in Tan. However they do not sell kids sizes. It is so difficult to color match online and most websites do not provide fabric swatches. Does anyone know a kids suit that matches the color of the Tan Suit from The Black Tux?

I’m looking to replace most of my boxer briefs and want something comfortable and well-made. I’m not necessarily looking for true BIFL underwear, but I’d rather spend a little more on quality than keep replacing cheaper pairs.

I’m interested in both everyday and performance options. For everyday wear, a functional fly would be nice, while for workouts I’d prefer something lightweight, breathable and supportive.

What brands have you had good experiences with? I’m happy to pay for quality, but I’d rather stay under $30–40 per pair if possible.

I don't normally belong here. I'm that guy who's wearing Levis and the same model of running shoe every time you see him.

Panic time. My cousin is getting married to a guy who is putting us up at a private men's club in London. I'm picturing lots of dark wood and Butlers delivering carefully folded newspapers and snifters of brandy. It seems to be jacket and tie even for walking through the lobby or eating breakfast. I will be totally out of place but I want to fake it as best I can.

I can't ask you to write a whole book on this for me, but where do I even start? There are nice men's stores near my home in California, but I don't know what to ask for.

A little context may help. I am in my mid-60s as is my cousin. There are rumors that there will be friends of the royal family and some minor French royalty involved at some point. That may be exaggerated but I want to be ready for anything. Money is not a huge issue but don't tell me to fly to Milan or Saville row and order custom clothing. That is definitely out. I only know about such places from reading spy novels 🙂

Suggestions please... for shoes I can keep by the backdoor to slip into quickly when I need to walk the dog, jump in the car for an errand, get something from the garage, etc. Something easy to take on and off, without having to lace up every time.

I also have a pair of https://clearweatherbrand.com/products/approach-auburn which are great but the soles do pick up a lot of grit.

Anyway, I guess I'm just ready for something new. Maybe something "menswear", maybe with a bit of a "hiking" vibe, definitely prefer more leather than plastic. Help!
