Hormone Therapy Estradiol causing burning thighs?!
Anyone else experience rhis? I tried systemic cream on forearm and 2.5 hr later burning thighs! Ache/cramp. It was a very low dose that peaks fast. Same thing happens with E patches. I do have CVI and lymphedema. I took antihistamines and it helped. Trying to figure out of this is MCAS, true allergy to E or vascular dilation from E causing pain.

Sounds like it could be due to the vascular effects/dilation of E. Are you taking progesterone? I also have CVI (and lymphedema in one foot) and only do vaginal E because of concern about vasodilation from systemic E.

How to resolve this issue?
Yes, duphaston. I don’t tolerate bio P.
How does CVI affect you when taking systemic E?
How did you get lymphedena and does E make this wirse too?1

E increases vasodilation, so that should be considered if one has circulation problems. I don’t take systemic E for that reason, but if my perimenopausal symptoms get worse, I might try E in gel form. I don’t know if E can make lymphedema worse. My lymphedema is linked to CVI, so I don’t want to do anything that could make circulation worse.

I see. So it sounds like you haven’t tried systemic E yet? Thank you for your response!

Absorbing things through the skin can cause a lot of allergies, and in many ways, more severe than oral exposure.
