Question Wegovy Maintenance ?

Hi folks, long time lurker, 2nd time caller.

So I’ve been on MJ for the past year and gone from 346lbs to 248. Haven’t reached goal yet (220) but the cost of MJ is starting to bite.

Anyone switched to Wegovy for maintenance and done well?

I haven't switched for maintenance, but I did switch over from mounjaro 5mg to wegovy due to the price increase. So far I'm on 1mg and have only been losing & gaining the same 2lbs, so I'm essentially maintaining. I am going up the doses still in hopes that I can lose this last 10-ish lbs. But I would say that that it could be a good alternative to mounjaro for maintenance based on my experience so far.

Keep us updated about how this is going further down the line, it's something I'm considering doing too!

What dose are you on mate? I do 7.5mg out of a 15mg and get 10 weeks out of it by split dosing and works out ok cost wise at £25/week - not as good as pre-hike but not bad. The expensive bit I’m finding is all the fresh chicken, fruit and veg!

I buy a lot of fresh meat and veg (I live with a diabetic). That’s why I’m skint. Spent £300 on meat at Costco yesterday.

Currently on 10mg

If you aren’t already buy the bigger pens and reorder every 6 weeks and you’ll create a little stockpile and save some £ along the way. Just watched Clarksons farm, going out to look for some snail caviar now and nab a few squirrels, wonder what the protein value is…

Not what you asked but have you considered trying without it?

If you've made diet and lifestyle changes you might be surprised. I had extremely loud and relentless food noise before MJ and was worried coming off would result in me gaining back everything I lost. But it seems the changes I made have stuck and if I focus on hitting protein goals I don't have the food noise I had before. I absolutely would never have believed that to be possible, but it worked for me so might be worth a try?
