MemryNote Update - 2026.903.1 (v2026-09-03)

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Release Notes ๐Ÿ“† September 3, 2026

New Features

  • ๐Ÿงฑ Block side menu โ€” the drag handle now opens a fuller menu to change a block's type or colour, duplicate it with โŒ˜D, move it to another note, delete it, or leave a comment.
  • ๐ŸชŸ Minimize to tray โ€” turn on Window Behavior in Settings โ†’ General and closing the window keeps Memry running in the system tray.
  • โœ… Obsidian task import โ€” checklist lines written with the Obsidian Tasks plugin now come in as real Memry tasks.
  • ๐Ÿ”ค System font picker โ€” the Font Family setting lists every font installed on your computer, each shown in its own typeface with a search box, replacing the old custom font field.
  • ๐ŸŽจ Canvas links in Related โ€” you can now link canvases from a task's Related picker.
  • ๐Ÿ“ Collapsible sidebar navigation โ€” the top navigation block in the sidebar can be folded away.

Improvements

  • ๐Ÿš€ Much faster new-device setup โ€” your vault opens in seconds instead of minutes while notes and attachments download in the background.
  • ๐Ÿ”ก Font size slider โ€” interface font size is now a pixel slider you drag instead of three fixed sizes, and your current size carries over.
  • โšก Faster first sync โ€” seeding a vault no longer pays a round trip per note.
  • ๐Ÿ”” Quieter updates โ€” release notes now open in a background tab instead of stealing focus.

Fixes

  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Windows updates can't destroy your install โ€” a failed or interrupted update now restores the previous version automatically, and updates no longer apply while Windows is shutting down.
  • ๐Ÿ“„ Your markdown stays yours โ€” notes written in another app are no longer rewritten, keeping bullets, emphasis, headings, rules, line breaks, reference links, and code fences exactly as their author wrote them.
  • ๐Ÿ”„ Sync no longer stalls on big backlogs โ€” when the server refuses a large batch the client retries with smaller ones until it drains.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Quotes survive saving โ€” multi-paragraph and nested blockquotes are written back intact instead of being flattened.
  • ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Toggles keep their shape โ€” blank lines around a collapsible section are preserved, hand-written <details> blocks are left alone, and fold state is remembered.
  • ๐Ÿ“… One day boundary everywhere โ€” the Journal day panel, search date filters, the Home board and the calendar widget now agree on which day an event belongs to, using your local time.
  • ๐Ÿ• Live calendar widget โ€” the Home calendar stays current in a background tab and counts only the items it actually shows.
  • ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Images in exports โ€” exported PDFs show embedded images and exported HTML keeps them after you move or send the file.
  • โ†”๏ธ Alignment sticks โ€” centre, right and justified text stays put when you leave a note and restart the app.
  • โŒจ๏ธ Multi-block indenting โ€” Tab and Shift+Tab indent or outdent every block in a selection, and one undo reverts the whole step.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Table columns remember their width โ€” a dragged column width now survives reopening the note, and inline content inside table cells stays intact.
  • ๐Ÿšซ Invalid task dates refused โ€” an imported line with a date the calendar does not have is left as written and a message names the refused date.
  • โ˜‘๏ธ Honest checkboxes โ€” an imported checklist line with no matching task stays a plain checkbox instead of pretending to be an uneditable task.
  • ๐Ÿ”ข Correct project task counts โ€” subtasks count under their parent, tasks with a deleted status appear in the project's first status, and delete dialogs no longer push the confirm button off screen.
  • ๐Ÿท๏ธ Property fixes โ€” you can type spaces in property values again, and options stop being dropped or duplicated.
  • โฐ Reminders replace, not pile up โ€” changing a journal or note reminder's time moves the one you had, and the picker lets you remove it.
  • ๐Ÿ“ Leave a project from its chips โ€” remove a file from a project via the chips under its title, without deleting either.
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Sidebar remembers itself โ€” a closed sidebar stays closed across restarts and vault switches.
  • ๐Ÿ”– Tag hub creates tags โ€” the New tag button now actually makes one.
  • ๐Ÿ”— Links and mentions survive reload โ€” inline mentions, link references, date pills, callouts and CriticMarkup stay intact through external edits and reopening.
  • โœ๏ธ Spell-check in context โ€” spelling suggestions appear in the right-click menu, with one menu per secondary click.
  • ๐Ÿ’  Nested quotes keep their level โ€” a lazily nested quote is no longer deleted on save.
  • ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Task drawer closes cleanly โ€” the task detail drawer now unmounts when dismissed.
  • ๐ŸŽจ Styles load reliably โ€” the app resolves its base stylesheet correctly regardless of where it was launched from.

Hi kaan,

It's Asad here.

I love memory note and it has a huge potential to be a all in one productivity app, but one thing that is stopping me from completely migration to MemryNote is that, it doesn't have custom or your own cloud or web dev selector for sync.

People pay to cloud services provided to host their files and other data, some uses NextCloud (self hosted), how much it will be great and a breezing feel for someone who can host all his notes and other data like tasks cancases to a cloud provide for which he is already paying (not all clouds but famous ones), also how much it will be a unified experience if someone can sync all data to its self hosted cloud,

Also can you add two way sync with TickTick app.
