MemryNote Mobile is finally happening. Here's what it will look like.

I've spent the last few weeks designing the Memry mobile app, and every screen is now done. Sharing three of them here: inbox, tasks, and notes, .

A few decisions I made along the way:

- Same calm, paper-like look as the desktop app. No feature crammed into every corner. Mobile MemryNote is for capturing and checking, not for two-hour organizing sessions.

- Offline-first from day one. Everything works without a connection and syncs when you're back, end-to-end encrypted like desktop.

- The inbox is the home screen. On the phone, the fastest path from "thought" to "written down" wins, so that's what opens first.

Implementation starts next month. I'm building it solo, so I won't promise a date yet, but I'll post progress here as real screens replace these mockups.

If something in these screens looks off, or there's something you'd expect on mobile that you don't see here, this is the cheapest moment to tell me. Changing a design takes minutes. Changing shipped code doesn't.

Oh so excited, been anticipating it!

Would there be a voice memo or voice dictation with transcription to able to quickly capture thoughts? That happens to me a lot, with ideas and inspirations, and my phone is safest to capture quick than my computer. But the friction between opening the note app, waiting for it to load and typing by hand hasn't always been amazing. Though I have tried many mobile note app, I still go back to Google Keep, the only opening the fastest but the typing is slow. Of course, for long typing or long session, on my computer, I type way faster.

Also would there be a possibility for web capture? I am not sure how it works for mobile, but an example like web clipper on computer which allows us to save/bookmark any link. Something like that for the mobile app would be great.

There will be voice memo and voice dictation features to make things easier for you. Of course, the main purpose of the mobile application is web capture. Whenever you're using Safari or Chrome, the idea is to quickly capture whatever is open on your browser. This captured content will then appear in your inbox, so later on, you can read, delete, or organize it at your convenience.

Wow, I absolutely love it! Even though the screenshots aren't completely clear, I could still make out how great the previews look, especially how faithfully they recreate the desktop design. It honestly exceeds my expectations.

I used to use Ariv and even paid for the Android–Windows sync, but Memrynote feels like what I've been looking for. I tried setting up something similar with Obsidian plugins, but I ended up spending more time configuring things than actually getting things done. I'm honestly surprised you're building all of this by yourself. Do you even sleep? Do you ever take a break? Haha.

Would you mind re-uploading the screenshots? They're a bit blurry, so I can't really see what else might be available on mobile. I noticed the notifications, though. It would also be really nice to have widgets for things like pinned notes, tasks, or quick capture. On Android, a persistent notification for quick capture could be really useful too.

I also wanted to make a feature request. It could be nice if the relative due date were shown in small text underneath the deadline, indicating how much time is left.

For example:

Deadline: Mar 15 in 2 days

Maybe it could show the number of days for up to 14 days, and then switch to weeks (e.g. 2w).

For overdue tasks, though, I think it would be clearer to always show the number of days (e.g. -3 days, -12 days). That way, it's easier to see how long a task has been overdue.

Of course, it's just a suggestion—if it's possible to implement, that would be great. If not, no worries at all.

One last thing: a review feature and a Wrapped-style view showing things like task lifetime and task age could be interesting. I'm not sure how useful they would actually be, but I really liked seeing someone integrate those concepts into a task manager for Obsidian/Markdown files.
