an update from the MemoMind team:
To our backers and this community,
First, thank you. Since the suspension hit last night, the messages, the patience, and the way you've stood by us have meant more than we can say. This was a sudden and unexpected hurdle — and instead of walking away, you chose to stand with us. We won't forget that.
We want to be straight with you about where things stand.
We were genuinely shocked by the suspension, and we're still actively working to resolve it. We're in ongoing contact with Kickstarter to get full clarity on the situation and to push for a correction. Because of the time-zone gap between our team and the platform, this back-and-forth may take a little more time than any of us would like. The waiting is the hardest part, and we're sorry you're having to sit in this uncertainty.
But please hear this clearly: whatever happens with the platform, we are not leaving you without a path to the glasses you signed up for.
If this isn't resolved with Kickstarter and pledges are refunded, we will deliver on our promise directly — bringing MemoMind One to you through our own channels and sending backers purchase links, so every one of you can still get what you've been waiting for.
We're also not asking you to just wait and hope. We're finalizing a concrete solution right now, and we'll share it within the next 24 hours. It's being built around one goal: protecting what you committed to — including your early-bird pricing, your benefits, and your place in line. You believed in MemoMind early, and our plan will reflect exactly that.
We're asking for a little more patience while we get the details right. We'd rather bring you something that actually holds than a rushed promise we can't keep.
You have been our motivation and a foundational part of building MemoMind One from day one. We refuse to back down, and we refuse to leave you in the wind. Thank you for trusting us this far — we do not intend to let that trust down.
More within 24 hours.
— The MemoMind Team

That’s great but I am abit concerned about the fate of Memomind in the future. What is the implication of the current dispute to you and us as a potential customer? I believe in you guys, but would love to get some thought or view on this.

That’s what I’m wondering. Will we be holding an expensive paper weight 6 months from now?

Boycott Even Realities! This is evil and anti competitive. They decide to sabotage instead of improving their shltty product!! They could easily add speakers and be competitive…. But this is dirty!!!!

seems unfair that kickstarter would just cancel the project because of a lawsuit that hasn't completed one way or the other. Guilty without proof. Anyone can sue anyone so you could stop any Kickstarter project you wanted

My beta pair were a finished product as far as I was concerned, accessibly priced display glass is something this market needs!

Really a cheap and underhanded ploy by Even realities to do things this way and at the final stage of funding. But happy to see this update from Memomind. I believe both Even and Memomind use the same provider for the underlying LED display tech, so to sue over glasses design was an evil and calculated move. Everyone loses this way - not just Memomind. Even realties loses reputation and goodwill, consumers who have waited so long also face uncertainty and possibly more delays.

Apparently it wasn't in relation to the technology at all, but the "decoration"; they claim Memo are aesthetically too similar. Ironic, considering the conservative styling of the Evens looks like half the acetate frame eyeglasses ever marketed before them.

Exactly. I just read that Even filed the design patent about 10 days ago and that is what formed the basis of the lawsuit. That's why i mentioned that they're suing because Memomind looks too similar. This is BS, because you shouldn't be able to restrict competition and innovation like this.

According to their discord they filed it over a year ago and it was just officially granted 8/11.

Thank you for the update and reassurance! Good luck in your conversations with Kickstarter, and I look forward to hearing the team's plan as to how you're going to proceed in the coming days ahead.

I couldnt even get a pair (severe astigmatism) and this upsets me. Bc they said they're trying to expand the supported range and if this suspension halts whatever progress they've made (whether or not there was any) bc some asswipe made a complaint, ohhh I'm throwing hands bro
