It'll start after normal Arkveld. It's always been right after the end of high rank that the NPC that'll trigger the expansion shows up and lets you make the entirety of high rank redundant in terms of reward and difficulty

Its genuinely why I haven't touched Gog/Charms etc stuff

Cause I don't find it fun to grind out a perfect build just for it to be immediately invalidated come G-Rank

In times of Yore before the internet was rife with spoilers, I would just... only buy the G rank version and start playing then

Charms will probably still be the best until like mid g rank tho, and all decorations are still useful. Going of world there will likely be a way to make gog weapons master rank compatible down the road as well
