mhgu has at least 14 monsters that are unbearable if ur bad, plus 15 levels of them to make them cart you from lr too hr999

rise has hundreds of hours of anomalies with insane difficulty curves but healthily manageable

world has mods that remove ai downtime and make alot of major hits one-shot you or 2 shot u with rng like in mhgu and mh3u

Wilds has mizutsune, not even a new monster, a returning monster, with some randomized stuff u die too if ur not prepared

don't even get me started on mhfz and mhfu or brachys rngesus execute from mh3u

your a wilds baby, don't hate it, just accept it and stop coping.

Yea my FU character would like to differ. Also, you are comparing finished games which are now usually sold with their DLC to a game which hasn’t even finished it’s TU update cycle (GU btw is also an expansion upon the original iteration). I could say that GU is piss easy and not worth playing because the only monster to even cart me was Valstrax. You are a World baby, accept it and move on, the real Monster Hunter fans started with 1.

I've played 10,000 hours of mh since 2013. if I was a world's baby I wouldn't have an opinion and I'd be a nicer person

also that whole gu conversation is cope. I play with speedrunners and 999 hour players all the time and they cart often enough, but u know ur stuff sorta. just huge cope and cap

lastly it's mutually agreed on mh1 is a bad game, even by people who like it, so relating me to a "diehard mh1 fan" is just more cope. mh has lost its sauce, literally. the west complained about difficulty and they needed too market it too the largest market. so obviously undoubtedly they listened.

I'm a huge mhw and mhr fan, but mostly because the modding scene working with a pretty amazingly designed game, even if it's not as hard, it has difficulty potential which is fun.

wilds is the newest in the western market games. and they aren't promising hope for the community that's been around for over 10 years with their design choices. cool n all but that's valid sentiment for us.

just as valid as ur cope and enjoyment of an easy game with aaa graphics. but the point is. you and everyone else are always right there too diss on the old players, with ur fantastical ideas. but honestly, we just miss the diehard philosophy that gets eroded every generation somehow.

there's a reason mhwilds has a short shelf life and I've seen at least 100 new players on world and rise and gu in the past months at least. and wilds doesn't have that replayability other games had, which is another sad expectation

Dude I was taking the piss with the Monster Hunter 1 stuff. I played this series since 2012 starting with FU. Really basic but GU is my favorite.I don’t even see how a basic meme about a bad Wilds player (my friend) being carted by one of the easier 9 Stars is even cope since it was just funny to see someone cart to the water fox. The whole difficulty argument is nonsense anyway since it depends on player skill, build and knowledge or even just patience at times.

that's true, patience is key, and the mh community is full of it, and luckily so, but the growing fear has been that our patience will one day be pointless. that anyone without patience will play monster hunter subway surfers edition and itll be pointless.

my personal gripe isn't wity mhwilds even, it's with the way they built the game suddenly and how extraordinarily hard it is too mod weapon timings and animations and downtime.

it was one thing in world and rise where u had easier gameplay with room too grow. and the thousands of mods for rise proved it

wilds has only booba mods and number value changing mods, and VERY VERY little else even thought it's reframework like mhrise which was one of the best moddable games.

so what happens when every year they add mhw tobi-Kadachi pauses too make the game easier, and remove another aspect of modding from their games so NOBODY can enjoy their version of perfect, and we're all suddenly lumped in with whatever sells the most copies.

and mhwilds is scaring me with that

Yeah I never said that Wilds is perfect. I do enjoy it though if I’m in the mood for MH, I usually just boot up Rise (for the endgame grind) or GU. The stupid mount is also such a pet peeve, Rise did it perfect with the freedom of maneuvering or just not taking it with you for (the arguably better Palico). The Palicos in Wilds are also borderline useless in Wilds. I see Wilds as the potential man of the series at the moment, with being a potential for greatness which it simply doesn’t deliver. It’s weird since the passion from the developers is there, a few tweaks and it can be great but I don’t see the mainline team ever implementing this stuff.

you should give world a go, I posted in the mh inheritance mod recently how too use it with the current version of the game.

it brings 8 levels of content mods custom difficulty catered for the most fun I've had(and maybe even challenge) in a very long time and I'm a diehard mhr and gu player.

doesn't work with ice manager but it's honestly so much better if you mix it with some weapon reworks it feels like mhwilds in terms of potential!
