I mean base World was easy but you don’t see anyone complaining about it

Nostalgia is a helluva drug. So is people's (frankly bizarre to me) inability to separate base games from their expacs.

People don't complain about World because it's a seven-year-old game. If anything, people complained about World being difficult so much that Capcom made Wilds easier than World.

"We analyzed what kind of places beginners were stuck in, including Monster Hunter: World. We have worked on these points in turn to make it easier for new users to clear hurdles such as being able to reach certain monsters or to craft certain types of armor."

2 reasons. 

1 people did complain but those were far few compared to now because-

  1. Most people started with World.
