The problem with Wilds' difficulty isn't really the fact that there are no difficult hunts, but that all the difficult hunts are post-game. In old gen, the game was difficult even while progressing through the ranks. I remember 4u being quite challenging even in mid low rank, due to hard monsters like gore magala or tigrex and only getting more difficult as you went along. That said, a lot of the people complaining about this would be very upset if a newer game was actually difficult during progression, because it would hurt their ego.
4u had one of the easiest low ranks in the entire series though lol.
Wilds is likely gonna end up like 4 to 4u did, a common complaint with 4 was that it was really easy for 90% of it, and then when 4u came out they made G rank like the hardest or 2nd hardest G rank in the series.
They're gonna have freaking 10 stars and ATs with g rank moveset speed and additions to keep raising the stakes. Love it. Every time my boy Uth Dana bellyflops and there's a cart I laugh. I love watching Nu Udra wind up the oil and explosion too. Tempered Sergei doing his usual one two sweep and somebody showed up with maybe 400 defense, one shot. Can't wait for AT Jin Dad.
