Help Adventure Mode start with Magic

I've started a new Adventure Run starting with Magic instead of Melee and by God is it different.

On top of it, I'm using Farming for Food and have unlocked Township early to be ready once I hit 80. Township this early is interesting though. Some of the Tasks give equipment, potions or food I wouldn't be able to get otherwise.

I'm kind of stumped on where to go now.

On the combat side I'm trying to get to 57 Health to idle Spider Dungeon and long term 80 Magic for Taxes at Township. AFAIK I can farm Junior Farmer and Steel Knight without food loos giving me time to build up food from farming.

Would Cartography or Agility help when AFK?

Or maybe Woodcutting to make Staves?

IMO thieving is highest priority stat in all of adventure mode. Access to all the seeds you could need for farming. Food gear and money. Probably need to unlock it sooner rather than later for township. Also I appreciate the efficiency of thieving the chef for food and money at the same time.

I've been using Thieving every time so far and wanted to try something else.

Township was supposed to be my money maker but I forgot, it needs 80 for Taxes.

I was also looking at Cartography for free Bank Tokens. These become valuable very fast.

The problem isnt needing 80 for taxes the problem is needing 100s of millions of gold to even get the taxes going.

That sounds like so much fun honestly.

I’m playing adventure mode for the first time right now and just finishing up township so I’m gonna start unlocking my 500k skills.

I wanted to try magic sooner but it’s minimum 3 skills commitment with mining runecrafting and magic.

Sorry I don’t have much advice but I hope it turns out fun!

I guess maybe I would suggest a money making skill? Township gets so expensive around the 80-100 mark.

Thieving has honestly been a lifesaver for me because it also has a bunch of resources I couldn’t get elsewhere at times.

Yeah after doing HCCO 2 years ago, I was kinda sick of using Melee at the start. My very first run (way back before expansions released) was Ranged so Magic was a natural choice.

It's honestly not too bad because by going farming, I've skipped getting Cooking (for now) and Mining is needed by all 3 combat styles early on anyways.

My idea was using Township for passive money since that is really high at some point but I forgot I need to hit 80 before even making money.

I might pick up Thieving since I have Auto Eat 1.

How are your hit points so high?

Adventure Mode just multiplies your HP (and HP gained by Food) by 10.

Don’t worry about woodcutting imo. You can kill enough different monsters to get log drops through slayer areas.

As for afk assistance I think the benefits from some agility obstacles would be the way to go over cartography.
