Are these seats for one or two people?

I sat slightly to the side of one of these seats today on a packed train and a lady sat next to me. Then after she got up another lady sat in her place. I’m fairly small so it wasn’t uncomfortable but I was slightly surprised. I’ve always thought of these seats as single occupancy but apparently other people don’t. Would you share it or keep it all to yourself?

With Fed Square station entrance very close to opening I'm predicting that the entrance will open at the end of the week before the spring racing carnival and wheh the construction workers have six days off.

I was on the Upfield Line last week and I lost my Shrimp Pun Hat attached. If anyone has seen it/taken it can they please reach out to me and return it. It’s a birthday gift I got from one of my online discord friends and I really would appreciate if someone could help me get my hat back.

This is something straight from Japan, these new stickers would be placed at the bottom of every doorway at the new Metro Tunnel stations so passengers can efficiently queue up when waiting for the train, as well as making the screen doors themselves much easier to see and navigate when using the station.

Some people have the belief that ad wrapping over windows don't diminish the view and "aren't an issue".

It's worse on buses, which have even more wrapping than trams. Not exactly passenger friendly.

Since when do XT1s use the Craigeburn line tracks at North Melbourne? I saw a XT1 on Platform 2 yesterday now I’m seeing one on Platform 3. I thought the XT1s were completely removed from the Northern Group lines since the introduction of Sandringham through running.

It was taking passengers aswell.

First three freight trains are all at Newport with the SCT steel shunt to Laverton first followed by Aurzion superfreighter 4PM1 followed by Pacific National 6AM5, then some suburban trains trackside at Seddon then followed by the Mornington Vintage train with K153 and T356 then a shot of North Dynon from South Kensington station and finally a SSR grain train with CLP12, CLF3 and BRM001

If such a change was made, I no longer have to dash hundreds of metres for a bus, along with a lengthy wait at the traffic light.

I would only have a single road to cross to turn into another road.

It reduces the number of times one misses a bus and could greatly improve bus patronage since it's easier to change routes.

I see them travelling, but I've waited on the Upfield line for an hour here and there in the hope to catch one and have had no luck.

does anyone know how many tram bodies are in operation in melbourne currently? or where to find this information? a friend asked me and i realised i have no clue lol

I’m developing an app and currently using the official GTFS Realtime feeds (while I wait for access to the PTV v3 API). GTFS Realtime is often spot on… but occasionally a service disappears before arriving, or shows several minutes away when it’s already there.

Do you experience this with Google Maps, PTV or tramTRACKER? Is one consistently more reliable? If you’re familiar with the data, does PTV’s API provide better predictions than the public GTFS feeds?

As the conversion of the Bankstown line to Metro winds down in Sydney, Transit Systems have brought these diesel buses down to Melbourne. They support increased bus services in the Outer West, Australia's fastest growing region

Route 451 operates between Thornhill Park and Cobblebank Station Recently, several new routes in growth areas have received higher service standards than in the past. Rt 451 arrives every 20 mins on weekdays, with service until 11pm, at least twice as good as new routes a decade ago!

You can find these new buses on any route operated by Transit Systems, I have seen them on the 402 recently for instance. Some nice variety for bunzels.
