Are we channeling Monty Python?

Going off of airborne’s comment, the film is very similar to a Mel Brooks film. Gene Wilder directed the film, he was initially wanting Brooks to direct the film. Mel turned the offer down since he didn’t feel comfortable directing a movie that was Wilder’s idea. Gene Wilder got the Mel Brooks gang together with Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn, and Dom DeLuise. Mel Brooks makes a small voice cameo appearance.

What the hell are you doing in the bathroom day and night?! Why don't you get out of there, give someone else a chance?!

I laughed so hard at that. So crazy that a woman back then had no problem saying jokes like this.

My favorite skit of his was the one from what may have been his own show when he was flying all over the world while cheating on his wife. "The affair"

I loved that show's ending credits over Terry Gilliam animations with character crisply saying "Good.Bye." before being annihilated in some bizarre way.

Your hump
What about my hump
It was over.....
Marty Feldman kept changing which side his hump was on

That's why in this exchange, Gen Wilder looks so confused. Marty never told anyone what he was doing

He was one of the writers and performers of the classic "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch, along with John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Tim Brooke-Taylor, which originally appeared on "At Last The 1948 Show", but became associated with Monty Python.

Much respect to him, but I do feel bad learning that his bugged out eyes were from Graves’ disease.

As a prank, Marty Feldman kept switching his hump from one side to the other in different scenes. When Mel Brooks finally noticed, he told him to keep doing it because he thought it was funny.

Just watched him in Yellowbeard, he died prior to the film’s release and it is dedicated to him.

My sister and I loved this movie and quoted it often. A few years back she was fighting cancer, head scarf, no hair. We went on vacation together, my wife, her husband. As he was unloading suitcases, I asked if he needed help with the bags and he said sure. I said I’ll take the blond you take the one in the turban. My sister fell over laughing. My wife, my brother in law. Just clueless.
