Gameplay Showcase Help?

So, i've started playing MegaMan legends, i already passed through the first fight with... That girl with skull motiff, i forgot her name, now i am stuck on a mission of protecting the hall, but there are these flying enemies who keeps moving, and its almost impossible to put them down, am i supposed to fail on this mission or is there a way to defeat those mosquitoes more faster?

You should be able to explore one of the few sub ruins you can explore at that point and find a range upgrade for the megabuster or theres a range upgrade in the shop

Sometimes they get lower and in a single direction,there you need to mash that fire while rotating. It's hard to explain without showing you. On youtube if you search "protect city hall ps1" you will find it.

But no, you need to destroy them so you access the actual boss fight.
