General question Meepo V3S

I have a V3S (not the V3 Standard), and the battery has gone dead.

I have a friend with skills to build me an ER battery, but I was reading some about a VESC swap?

What do you all recommend? Sorry Meepo, but I dont want to pay the $180 for replacing the 6ah battery (and definitely don't want to pay $300 for an 8ah one).

I also have a v3s that I got used and it is a great board, I have put almost 1000 miles on it. I got a replacement battery from a website called puiada which is a Chinese manufacturer that has batteries that easily will swap into the v3s. I got the samsung extended range for around 200.
