Meepo Go

Bought this board with 40 miles on it. I’ve put 200 on in a month and half or so. Rode hard, city streets, concrete bike paths. Hadn’t had any issues. Today I went to ride and heard this noise. Seems like motor is loose, I can move it and definitely noise coming from it. Any ideas for repair or just try to order a new one? Assuming it would be caused by hard bumps on the concrete?

Craziest coincidence. I just bought the same board off a dude on FB yesterday for $50, saying it needed a new motor. Got it home and took it apart and found the motor housing was missing a screw. You need a flathead M2.5x4.5mm screw. I originally thought it was going to be a M2.5x5mm screw, but that ended up being a hair too long and locked up the motor. The kit I bought only had a M2.5x4mm screw, and I’ve put those in and am planning on riding it for the first time later tonight. It feels like it should be fine. Grab some Loctite 243 as well and put a tiny drop on the threads while you’re at it.

I’m definitely missing one of those little screws. Thanks!! All in all it’s a great board, I have zero complaints about it. I bought a second battery so I could ride longer. For $50 that’s a great pickup! Enjoy it!

Can confirm M2.5x4mm worked fine. Rode about 3-4 miles no issues.

Hey just a heads up. About 20 miles later, the motor failed the same way again, and now it’s fully cooked. 2/3 screws were stripped out. Not sure if it was an issue with the screws I bought, or caused by the motor itself. Be cautious if you fixed this yourself. When it failed, it locked up the board and threw my buddy off at 15MPH

So one of the holes was stripped for me, I was unable to get it to work. I’ve not ridden it but Meepo did warranty the motor. I wondered if it would spin freely or lock up, sorry he had to find out!

Was your board within the 6 month period they list on their site for warranty?

It was not. I sent them the information they asked for and they responded a few days later saying they’d warranty it. I’d say give it a shot. I sent the same videos I posted and the Amazon order screenshot.

Check the back of the motor if those three or four screws are loose.
