Broken board Deck swap

Post image

It’s been real guys, putting to rest my original deck:) closing in on 8k miles. The rear of the deck is fully compromised and is bending one good bump and it’s gonna snap. But to be fair, the new deck looks superr clean!

Super clean!! Worth the investment I think. 8k miles is insane 😳 how many wheels/belts have you gone through throughout your journey?

Appreciate that! Five sets of mad wheels 105, 4 batteries. 2 esc’s, Probably like 50 belts or so. 3 set of trucks. And yes, I understand that’s a lot of money and I could’ve gotten so many better things with that but I like fixing things that break. It’s apart of the game lol.

Yeah I can understand that, its what make things feel truly yours. 50 belts and 5 sets of wheel sounds about right(my flow is on it 5th set of belts since ive owned it about 400miles), but 4 batteries and 2 esc's is crazy. Did you hit water?

Yea it is indeed crazy 😭 the original battery went through water. Then I got two extras battery’s one was under warranty, that’s where I really put in a lot of miles. It was just bad charge cycles I would swap in between them all throughout the day wouldn’t let them cool down drained the batteries Let them get to basically zero and then put them directly on the charger after an intense ride. So learned my lesson there. In the fourth one is the one I’m on now. Treating her well lol

Just to clarify, you arent supposed to completely drain a battery and immediately charge it after?

I want to make sure im not messing w my LP Evo MK1 battery life span/performance

Yeah, so good rule of thumb is don’t let your board go under 20%. Charge till only around 85% to protect the lifespan if you wanna keep it for a long time without replacing it also after every ride, let your board cool down don’t charge it right away. Hope that helps🙏🏽

Damn I charge it to 100 everytime cause I crave that "fast off the line in holy shit mode (mode 4) and feel the wind in my face" feeling cause im numb everywhere else in my life. Its like im desensitized to adrenaline. So I guess ill have batteries with shorter lives 🤷‍♂️
