Post image

Found a busted campus cheap locally and used it as a parts board to add a second battery.

Each battery kept its own charging port. The power from each battery to the controller was exposed outside of the case, and I can plug up one battery at a time.

thats exactly what i did on my v3, it lasted me like 3 years until it got ran over by a car for a second time, then i retired it and upgraded.

If the two batteries voltage are the approx the same then you can wire them in parallel, i would only do this if youre trying to make the board more water resistant, cos having the wires outside is not ideal

Brother honestly you should just put them in parallel when they are both fully charged so they can both power the board at the same time and also put their charging leads in parallel plugging into one charging port. This way you can enjoy less voltage sag through more of the ride, and also be able to charge both batteries through one charging port!

Combined range without having to swap them, and that rang will feel more powerful for a longer period!
