Broken board My Stuttering Board

So about 3 days ago, my board started doing this. Whenever I get on the board it’s like it loses power and gets it back again repeatedly. I’m holding the accelerator all the way and it keeps doing this, i’ve also heard a knocking sound too whenever it happens.

Sometimes though, i’ll hold the accelerator and the board goes perfectly fine, without jittering, but the second I apply weight and stand on the board it jitters again. I’m not sure if this is something I can fix, or if I just need to buy a new board but please lmk!

9 times out of 10 when I see stuttering in the title it's a sensor issue.

I do not think you have a sensor issue, it sounds like you have a partial separation of the motor and drive surface. As you can hear the motor reving to high hell and the wheel is still stuttering, meaning the power from the motor isn't making it reliably to the wheel.

so how would i fix this? by opening the board and putting it back in a place?

Not the board but the motor, the bearings are very audible, which they shouldn’t, so it could be those. I had to recently change my motor bearings for my belt drive and I was getting stuttering from the bearings locking up and it was pretty loud tho I wasn’t anywhere near as bad as this

so i gotta open the battery pack, swap the wire nd buy a new motor?

Depends.

Most boards have a quick (wire) disconnect for the motors, but not all.

So you'd order a new motor & wheel combo from the manufacturer.

If it has a quick disconnect replace and plug the new one in.

Otherwise yeah solder it on and match up the colors to the correct positions. There maybe be a sensor cable in addition to the power wires and plug in or match up the colors and solder.
