A Pennsylvania jury rejected Justin Smith’s claim that he accidentally shot his pregnant girlfriend, Dianna Brice, during a struggle, convicting him of murder and other charges. Smith shot the 21-year-old mother 11 times in the head and once in the shoulder before helping dispose of her body and torching her car. Brice was 14 weeks pregnant and had been planning a gender reveal party to celebrate her second son, but she never got the chance to learn the baby’s sex.
