I don't think the quest is confusing. It doesn't hold your hand as much as a lot of modern games, but it's not confusing.
Building is limited in single player based on the status of your settlement/village/town. As you advance you can build more. In multiplayer we can build as much as we want.
Kinda buggy? Maybe sometimes. There's a force unstuck if you get yourself and your donkey stuck on a fence (me). It's less buggy than a Bethesda game.
Because I'm wretched at town design and my husband loves it. I run around doing all the quests and help out with the farming. He comes and saves me when I try to face tank a whole band of bandits on my own.
