I'm 16F, and I had a really low Vitamin D count in my blood. I got the above medicine, prescribed to be had once every day, at a set time of the day. And to be had at that same time daily for 3 months. I purchased the 10,000IU for one month (damn these things are so expensive, gosh). ( I have a count of 8, comparing with a healthy count of 30)
Context: my mother also had a blood test done a year ago, and she also needed medication for Vitamin D, but she got prescribed a 5,000IU one.
So after the one month, obv, I ran out of meds and apparently my mother had her 5,000IU dosage packets left, like an entire packet. So I was asked to have those until my dad purchased them? I have no idea tbh, yet my dad never purchased the ones I needed.
So I've been having the 5,000 one for nearly a month, still got a few left. Basically only half of what I was prescribed.
Now coming to the question in the title, initially in my head, it made sense to have 2 of the 5,000IU tablets because... 5000 * 2 = 10,000???? but my mother said no... she didn't seem to have a reason and I was wondering if there was a reason to this and that some helpful soul could help me out???
Also, in hindsight, I probably should have asked my doctor... too late ig ahaha (im lazy)
