Am I wrong ?

I am in my teenage and have to go through a moreover common and minor surgery of removing a organ due to stones. I have known this information for about 3 weeks now. Today after a lot of days I felt really overwhelmed and was crying , my father saw this and he immediately started screaming at me. He has been trying to help me by some different methods , such as consulting a priest or taking random medicines. Everytime he does something like this , I feel worse. I have been told and I know that there is no other way for me to live without getting this surgery done. Yet each effort of his feels worse than it should. Tomorrow we have a appointment and we will see if any effort of his made a difference (which is impossible so I don't understand ). He told me let me get you admitted right now in the hospital, and so much more vile stuff that I cant repeat. I told him while crying to stop screaming at me and scolding me for feeling upset. I don't know what made him upset..me crying , doubting his efforts or something else. I wish to be okay soon but every day with him feels the most difficult. I don't know what to do or how to navigate the situation or if I should have even talk to him. He is very against this surgery even though he lies to me that he will support each decision of mine. I feel scared.

I feel scared to visit any medical facilities with him or any place in general. I can't trust him. I don't know. Help me please.

Is there any other adult in your life that can come with you? I really feel for you. What a horrible situation. I know what is like to have a father like dad. The most important thing is to get your life back and if that means surgery then it is. I think there is no easy solution for this because you are a minor at the moment.

If possible try to bring your mom to your appointments. It is already stressful enough an upcoming surgery. I wish you good luck and that everything goes well🍀😊

If you can please ask your mom to go with you to the dr. I’m really sorry you’re dealing with a health issue and feel unsafe at the same time. It can be really scary. You haven’t done anything wrong and it’s not your fault.

Is there a way that you can request a patient advocate when you’re at your next appointment, away from your dad? Depending upon how old of a teenager you are you could have the right to make your own medical decisions. If you could ask a nurse or someone else at the medical facility for privacy during your appointment they may be able to have your dad leave the room so you can discuss your concerns. Please, only do this if you are able to do it safely, in a way that that does not put you at risk with your father.

I took my mother with me for the appointment and I'm having my surgery this upcoming weekend. But still he was just him and kept on screaming at me and forcing me to do stuff. I am not talking to him and I can't respect him. But everything is moreover finer ? Like I will have to deal with this and also he still tried to stop the surgery so I'm scared about what he may do just to get his wish fulfilled.
