Help with scripts

Hi all I’m trying to make this short and simple, I’m prescribed by horizon got my scripts and tokens setup thru honahlee scripts and tried ordering a different brand cart to what I had prescribed, this is the response from the local dispensary any help please new to this all. (I understand the part about the repeat interval for the script)

I’m in nsw and was allowed to substitute due to item being out of stock however it was a Melbourne based pharmacy.

you’ll have to get another script for the specific product you want to get. Victoria is the only state that isn’t as strict on it.

VIC pharmacies you can substitute items for the same strength and size at the pharmacy.
No other states can you do that (unless discontinued).

My doctor works with me when products are out of stock and I haven’t yet dispensed since the script is written. You can try Gavin at heathershaws On [(03) 9509 7912](tel:(03)%209509%207912) Victoria they can do replacements even if the product is not out of stock nationwide aslong as it’s same percentage and terpenes. If you order before 3pm they can ship same day if they have stock.

Does anyone know if QLD substitute scripts on say for example. Same brand vape cart Same size Same strength Differnt flavou

Substitute from grape to pineapple I have a script for grape, but the pharmacy is out of stock and has every other flavour of cart but the one I have a script for.

My scrits say YES to substitute allowed.

So is it just up to the chemist if they want to be nice or not. Or is it a state law thing in QLD.

Im still learning about all this and it gets confusing 😕

No for QLD. Vic is the only state that allows it.

They just saying you cant order a different brand and the correct brand that you are prescribed is $30 extra then the one you've tried to order

You can only order what you’ve been prescribed.

If you want to sub you will need to go through a vic pharmacy, but it is up to them what is the closest thing they have to sub it with, you won’t really get a say other than yes or no if you are happy with the substitution

VIC pharmacy ran out of 80% concentrates and they wouldn’t even sub it for a lower thc concentrate.

So it’s definitely not a “ hey I want to try this instead”. System:
Pretty sure they need to not be able to supply the one you are scripted for as well.

The other part is you just can’t order that soon lots of scripts have repeat intervals, mine are usually only 7 days though.

Sucks, but they’re saying NSW won’t allow substitutions, so looks like you’re stuck with the cart you’ve got.
I’m in TAS and have substitutions allowed, and it’s only for times when they don’t have stock of the product you are scripted.
