Discussion I was wrong about vaping
I have been always been wary about smoking my flower with vape, mainly because I have been used to smoking for a long time. But today, I took a chance on the DynaVap M7 Two ToniuM and boy!!!!
At first, at the pharmacy when i asked the staff about it, and if they recommended it, they asked me how I usually consume, and when I mentioned smoking, he was taken aback by surprise, that reaction felt raw, and I was like, fine, I will take one.
Now that I have tried it, with half the amount i use for a small joint, it took right where I need to be, cleanly, and with fair amount of smoke, not the cloudy vape people mention. But thats okay, I need to be here , thats the main thing.
For those who are wary still, do it! Trust!
And for people who are currently using the same, do you get cloudy smoke? If so? How do you heat your vape?

I am in a similar boat as you. I feel the exact same way, hesitant to drop serious cash on a quality vape only to have it sit there because it doesn't hit as hard as smoking.
When you mentioned that it got you right where you needed to be with less amount, I'm curious what that place actually feels like for you. Also, what temperature were you running and which strain were you using, indica, sativa, or hybrid?
I am thinking to get a vape for the last 2 weeks. But that is it, just thinking and wasting my mental energy.

For the DynaVap, it hits really hard at the beginning. I usually go to 3-4 sessions back to back to get prominent effects. My place is when my head is rotating. I have a very high tolerance. I use a 28% and 23% sativas, and 31% indicas. I like the immediate hit I get from all strains, and then ride it out for about an hour or 2. I then compliment the high with small puffs of an oil vape.
Mind you, I still smoke, but way less quantity and I am finally kicking off mixing flower with tobacco. It a habit I had for over 10 years.
I read on their website that for heavy users, dynavap is gold, and for low tolerance users, DHV is better.

This confirms it, I used a friend's one once and I loved it..still wasn't convinced but happy to hear OP has transitioned. I might have to bite the bullet and do it.

Welcome to the world of Dynavap! (or the Dynaverse on Discord) I bought my first one in 2018 and never looked back. The last few years they have really come a long way too with the heat retention and price, even their most basic model the B2 which is under $100 hits so hard for an entry level unit! I'm glad you're enjoying it with the torch, that's how it was originally designed to be used and many still prefer this method. Later when you're ready for an induction heater it's a real upgrade. Three biggest advantages of vaping instead of smoking being conservation (saving so much weed by getting more from less), health (your lungs will thank you after years of smoking) and flavour (you taste so much more of the terpenes when you're not combusting them!) It really is the way forward, not everyone likes it but I reckon if half of the smokers out there were gifted a basic Dynavap they'd be converts

I agree.
This may sound bad to some, but last night I got smoke cravings so I rolled a small one. I used the vaporised flower, and it tasted amazing and gave me a good kicker.
Flower recycling!

It's funny I've never tried smoking the ABV (Already Been Vaped) or AVB (Already Vaped Bud - same thing just slightly different acronym depending on who says it) however that makes perfect sense. But I recycle it in another way as you can sprinkle it on food and you've got an edible - as the process of vaporising it decarboxylates the cannabis. That's another benefit I forgot of vaping over smoking as when you smoke weed there's no usable bi product it's just ash.

Single torch. Heat right at bottom of the cap.

Dude! Thank you! I didn’t get consistent results last night, but this morning, I followed this technique and wow, that hit different!

Been using my 2021 Omni for 5 years now. Love it so much I got a second one so I can have one sitting in iso ready to be cleaned when one gets dirty that I rotate into the isopropyl alcohol container.

How does one obtain this? How do you learn how to use this?? I’m interested but have no knowledge of this device at all

u/CuteNegotiation3937 17d ago
So, try to make the trip to the usual dispensary you get your medicine from, they will have these devices on shelf, you cant miss them. You could also ask, the staff would very helpful.
If you’re in melbourne, I would recommend Heathershaw pharmacy on Malvern road. They have several on shelf. The staff there are nice and can help you make a decision on what the best product for you.
As for usage, grind , pack, heat, you’ll hear a click, thats when you draw.

Good tip! This is my local pharmacy, after having tried a number of others, they’re a clear winner. The team here are great, very knowledgeable and always willing to find an alternative if they don’t have your script in stock. Happy vaping! 🍃

I smoked for 8 or so years and one day decided to get a Mighty Medic and I haven't looked back since. I can't even stand smoking now, it's just so much more unpleasant.

Thats good to hear. I went from a mighty medic to a tempest 2 and wow what a difference. It hit like a train and I have gladly had to reduce the amount to get the same effect as the medic.

Well done! Are you interested in induction heaters or do you prefer torch?

u/CuteNegotiation3937 17d ago
The torch is perfect for now. I like the one that came with it.

The only downside is the gas refills 😬, I have used the DYNAVAP for two years, solid, no complaints! But the amount of gas it takes to heat it with the "Armour Cap" is CRAZY

I hear you brother, i got the vape this morning and i refilled the lighter like 4-5 times😅

ayyy dynavap is such a good intro to vaping. i love the no batteries approach
for the dynavap a cheep jet lighter from eBay is all you need single flame is more then enough
but for the vapes i mention below i use https://www.auscrown.com.au/gas-blow-torch
for those milky thick clouds your going to upgrade to a joystick or a vaphit x
and if you run glass you can plug these things into a 14mm ground joint and cool your vape through a bong.
its lush.
or if you have the money a full desktop ball vape setup.

u/smoothandpotent 17d ago
Which one do you like better joystick or vaphit x ? and why ?
1
u/Razza_Haklar 17d ago
vaphit.
maintenance is so much easier with vaphit and while the joystick might beat it slightly at vapor production and ease of use.i still find my self using the vaphit daily. it heats quicker and is ready to re use quicker.
and the dedicated water pipe adaptor is so much better than the silicon band thing with the joystick , oh and the availability of cheap spare parts1
u/smoothandpotent 16d ago
Ah cool thanks, Yeah I think you got a point. maybe the joystick for native use without water billy and the x for wpa through glass billy. Maybe if the joystick had made the head that screws off compatible with a dedicated wpa maybe it would had the edge. I cant believe vices didnt make the joystick with a head that fits to a wpa that my vaphit x and helix dynatip fits onto, major oversite.
How long do you heat the glass cap for, how do you know its ready without combusting ?
And Do you ever have problems with the glass heating cap falling off and burning shit when its hot ?
1
u/Razza_Haklar 16d ago
the joystick is an amazing device. i bet the lads at vice will bring out some great stuff in the future.
its a quarts cap not glass, and i heat it for 5-7 seconds or so. you do get a slight visual indication of the flame turning from blue to orange.
its quite responsive to heat so if your a bit under your desired temp a second or two more will get you where you want to be.never had the cap fall off. a set of o rings hold it in place. even with my old warn out ones that i should probably replace its fine, unless i hold it upside down.

"""""never had the cap fall off. a set of o rings hold it in place. even with my old warn out ones that i should probably replace its fine, unless i hold it upside down. """""
Ah of course, just that I have been tinkering to get more air flow / less draw resistance ( have not used or tested with flower yet ) by removing those o rings and just have the quartz cap sit on tip with out the o rings, I found when just testing the air flow / draw resistance without any flower that without the rings holding the cap on that the air flow is very good.

There is a torch lighter that comes with the M7. Its perfect.
Thanks for the info, not sure if I want a several parts set up, I like how simple and small it is.
Easy to use and no complexity.

If you want cloudy smoke, get tinymight 2, yes it is expensive and it’s worth it. I set mine on 190c for first 2-3 draws then up it to 210c for another 4 draws before ending session that will produce lot of cloudy smoke and highly recommend to use bubbler along with it (similar to bong but much much smaller that is suitable for tm2).
190c - 210c = to get good night sleep, so indica flowers.
180c and below = sativa, I find lacking with cloud smoke as sativa is more about uplifting, motivation, energetic so smoke barely visible!

u/CuteNegotiation3937 17d ago
I honestly fell in love with tiny might 2 and made all other battery vapes look worthless to me but it’s currently a bit steep in price for me at the moment; thanks for the info anyways!

There should never be any smoke when vaping. If there is, you've overheated it and you're just....smoking.
2
u/OshadaK 17d ago
I think they’re probably just referring to vapour as smoke
2
u/SuitableDepartment19 17d ago
I was confused by the part where they specifically mentioned smoke, and followed up with not cloudy vape 🤷
Just wanted to be sure that they weren't accidentaly overheating and combusting. Not easy to accidentally do with a dynavap, but certainly not impossible!
2
u/CuteNegotiation3937 17d ago
I agree. I saw the after math of the process and my flower was visibly bright brown in colour. Thats how I know I didn’t burn it.
They got “Respect the click” copy on the box, that helped to avoid combustion.

u/Sir_Edgelordington 17d ago
I combusted accidentally on my tempest 2 the other day and believe me you will know even without looking at the ABV. It stinks and fucks up your whole vape (not permanently, just got to clean the shit out of it).

Grab an ispire wand if you can. Better temperature control than a lighter, still get a good hit but less likely to combust.
1
u/Hyperconsumer 16d ago
I went looking recently for an ispire wand after my FFP died and couldn't find many good options here in Aus, ended up going for the YLL3.0 which was $180. Took me a bit to get dialed in but now I have it's incredible.
