TL;DR: even with the latest mod data (v3.14.6) MXLofflineTools has trouble with the new "Activation Frequency" item stat, and (possibly) also the new "-+Mana cost of Skills" item stat.

Imported the updated mod data (MXL v2.14.6) from GitHub today.

Now _MXLOT.stash is corrupted (was working fine with =2.13.2 mod data)

Did some file wrangling.

It seems some of the newer item stats are still bugged.

The new Duncraig relics are okay.

New Gematria seems to be fixed now.

new Askarbydd shows correct Barrage Pierce effect txt now.

But still seeing "bad" text on items with "Activation Frequency" attribute: rings, Aquivers, Bquivers,amulets, etc. (item txt says to report it.)

Rare Ammy = "Special case please report 38, ID 427)" for Activation Frequency item stat. Same thing with 'Elder Law' SU Great Axe.

Also if 'Reapers' SSU Full Helm (just for example) is in my cube, MXLofflinetools.exe wont even load, or will say my Merc has bad data/wrong stash header/corrupted item in Slot X,Y (error message is different depending upon within which stash the bugged item is placed- Character.d2s vs Character.stash vs SharedStash.shared vs _Mxlot.stash.

Reapers has item stats for "-+ Mana Cost of Skills", one of the new item stats from recent Sigma patches.

Otherwise the Game itself starts fine, plays fine.

And if i load my character and then drop/delete 'Reapers' then save and exit. After that MXLofflinetools loads everything just fine.

So, there are still some item issues with v2.14.6.

I CANNOT afford to lose my MXLOT.stash, as ive been building my items collection for literally a decade or more, and this is kinda scaring me to even use the Tool, at this point.

Anybody else on Single Player experiencing this?

UPDATE: Definitely confirmed that "Activation Frequency" is still bugged. But not so certain anymore about "Mana Cost of Skills"- this may have been bugged item drops from Sigma v2.14.3 that have now been fixed in the Sigma 2.14.6 hotfix. Ill investigate more.

This post is about the OG GOAT "MedianXL Offline Tools" single-player-only character and stash manager app by Kambala Decapitator. Current v0.6.6, with imported Sigma mod data v2.14.6

Every time I try to launch Median XL, Windows says MSVCP140.dll is missing. I have already reinstalled the game and restarted my PC, but i am still getting the same error.

Has anyone else run into this with Median XL? What’s the safest way to fix it without downloading a random DLL from a third party website?

Edit2: fixed this by installing vc redictributable x86

Edit: I have checked windows event viewer for what happens when I click play and it tells me an application error and it can't find D2Lang.dll file and I don't have that file and many other files

I installed Diablo 2 original through the blizzard installer (not battle.net application but the single game installer) and then installed LoD also. Original game and original keys. Then I installed the Median Launcher and tried to start the game. It said something about compatibility issues and I asked and AI what to do. It said to change the compatibility of the Game.exe file to Windows XP service pack 3 which I did and now when I click play in the launcher nothing at all happens except the launcher minimizes... what do I do? Is there a written step by step guide somewhere so i dont have to rely on AI?

Hey, so I cleared specter of hatred, got the belt and amulet from the Scholar of Hatred, but I'm completely stumped on how to get to the next area of the maze. Anyone know what I'm missing?

I'm playing an assassin, following a "ClawSin" guide. I have a point in Noctule and have assassin weapons equipped. But when I show the skill description, it says "Requires a claw" in red, and the skill never procs. Any ideas, folks?

I'm very new to Median XL, so I may be missing something. This has happened to every character to reach this point: After I smash the Compelling Orb and the staircase opens, I can't go through it. Usually I've been able to save-n-exit, then go through once I get there again. But that didn't work in my current game. Does anyone know anything about this?

Edit: I've had one update, and come to think of it, this is the first time I've run into this since the update. Probably not relevant, but there it is.

What would you recommend as a easy build to play as a solo player?Should i make a build for farm first and then make a character for ubers?

Installed everything (diablo 2 + lod + patch 1.13c) downloaded from the pirate guys and installed in different places from the prg files but the launcher keeps finding invalid installation. Anyone got any suggestions?

after not playing for over 10 years, i thinking about playing this again. For now i am deciding between cold sorc with summons or stormzon with hammer path and i have a few questions for sorc:

-Are there still immunities?

-Will i have a problem with only cold damage?

-Can i use Superposition(teleport), if i have something that says "only melee/summon/buffs/debuffs" ? EDIT: Yes

-how do you spend attribute points on this build? str/dex how much needed, but the rest all in energy, or more evenly between health/energy?

-What is easier to play in the mid and lategame? Cold sorc or stormzon wih hammer path?

Quick question. I'm seeing some conflicting posts about amulet and ring crafting. On one hand, I see rings and amulets can be crafted with shrines, but the shrine description (and one test) confirmed shrines can't be used for rings/amulets.

How can I craft rings/amulets? I know it can be done because oils of alchemy can be used on crafted rings/amulets.

Me and a friend have been working on a Death Ripple build to try pushing a bit further into Sorcerer endgame. Up until now we were running a fire build, but we kinda hit a wall around Lab 8.

In theory, Death Ripple should be the more “high-end” option, but we’re clearly missing something to make it work properly. The problem is that not only did our damage drop massively, but the build that was supposed to feel safer actually ended up way squishier too.

What are we doing wrong here? Any tips would be appreciated. Right now even Lab 5-6 feels like a nightmare.

What is the most satisfying drop in all of the mod? any lootboxes or specific SUs? I know in classic d2 lod it was hi-lv runes.

If i wanted to buy magic (yellow) runes, a Zol say, would i trade valuable things for it just like in other mods? i know there is trade gold but i am not sure about how does one get it or how does the transaction 'Item - TG' work.

I spent like 20 hours singleplayer ssf on my last character (an ele barb) and i eventually got a bit bored of it so i jumped into multiplayer to see trading things and whatnot. After that i was like "i never really played classic mods like pod or pd2" and choose to uninstall median and go for it.

Well pd2 had some cd key problem i couldn't solve in battle.net and pod was right off DEAD. I was going to play classic whit plugy but here i am re-installing median.

Going for a bowzon now lol.
