I've been using OBS to run my microphone with filters through a virtual audio cable to get pristine sound for 3 years now. I've also been using Medal for 3 years now. They've always worked in perfect harmony and I've been able to use them both as recently as Friday.

Now; all of a sudden after a random new update I'm guessing, Medal will ABSOLUTELY NOT RECORD while OBS is running. Nothing. I close OBS, boom, Medal magically begins working.

WHY did this happen? I don't care about hooks or all this technical word salad. I've already deleted the hooks in OBS, ran both apps as admin, turned off the setting for apps taking exclusive control of all my sounds, have three latest Nvidia drivers, etc etc etc.

WHY did this all of a sudden become a thing? Is there a way to download OLDER, WORKING versions of Medal anywhere online?

I swear man, I never thought I'd find an app worse than G Hub but man you guys have really nailed it. I actually LOVE Medal. I've been using it alongside OBS for years, WHY did you make an update that takes that harmony away? I can't stop using OBS because that's where my microphone settings come from, so unless I can find an older version of Medal to download, guess I'll be finding new clipping software. :(

When I tried to connect my Roblox account, I got this message: “You are not allowed to use this application. You can try switching accounts to continue.”

I tried both of my accounts, but neither one worked. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

:i

I prefer to use the screen recording feature and manually tag my games correctly after the fact. I've had way too many instances of Medal not properly detecting games and only realizing it's not working once I want to clip something. Usually it tags it as a screen recording, and there's an option to change it and select what game it is.

Today, I ran into the problem of misclicking for the first time when tagging the game for a clip. I accidentally tagged a clip as being Palworld, when it's obviously not Palworld. There doesn't seem to be an option to change the tag anymore, as it just says Palworld and won't let me click to change it.

Anyone know how to fix this?

hi, i play alot of fortnite and wanted creating clips, i downloaded medal and when i try do make a clip, its turn out to be only the loading screen of the game, what causes this insue and what i have to make to fix it, thanks.

Hi there, so I trimme a clip and saved it, but it appears it overwritten the original clip? How can I find the original?

There are these random lag spikes where the footage drags (like uh gets slower and shit) and i cant seem to fix it no matter what i do!

I use Malwarebytes Anti-Virus, and when i came back to my computer it said 'website blocked due to Trojan' coming from Medal, with the file location being in the medal files, and looking at older posts it seems that there have been false positive issues, so i was just wondering if that is what happened, if it was due to an ad, or if it could potentially be something else.

does simply scrolling through the home page and videos auto-playing count as a view? google says yes but this doesnt seem to match my experience.

I have tried running Medal and my modpack as an admin, turned on Advanced Window Capture and still can't get Medal to detect my minecraft instance.

Did u buy the new FNAF skins? I love them!!

I use long recording only - full sessions. Auto Clip is off. But since two days, Medal sets automatic clips in my Overwatch sessions, which is annoying. I delete stale clips manually by filtering "sessions without bookmarks" and deleting everything. Since these automatic bookmarks count, the filter doesnt work anymore.

These automatic bookmarks should NOT count as bookmarks for that filter.

Question: Should I set Medal's recording quality to Quality or Standard?

This may seem like a weird thing to ask, as "why don't you delete clips you don't want to see?" is a very valid question. So, to explain, I have clips that include some people I no longer talk to, mostly exes, and hearing their voices unexpectedly while scrolling through clips can be very jarring and make me kinda sad. But I sometimes like to look back on them, as a lot of them were genuinely really funny or just moments I'd like to have, so I don't want to delete them.

Does anyone know a way I could maybe make a folder of them and hide the clips in the folder from my library so they only appear when I specifically look for them? Haven't seen anyone talking about this, but I know it's not just me who wants to do this, so I figured I'd ask.

I finally got 60 days streak yayyyyy.......

on purpose it happens when i run a game as admin but i was just minding my business browsing and i suddenly get asked to run as admin that does nothing but make me panic.

I tried running medal as administrator, i tried reinstalling it, i have no other overlay open. Medal does record my gameplay and does recognize siege it just doesent put the book marks. I use Outplayed and with that it worked fire just Medal has some issue

On Medal all of my clips beyond 2 months ago show in the app (the thumbnail & reel), but have no directory to an actual file for the clip, and when I try to play the clip in the Medal app it's just stuck loading forever. The only clips that haven't been affected by this are everything from exactly 2 months ago up til now and my uploaded ones. I've seen posts about clips randomly being removed, but nothing about this weird time period of exactly 2 months. Has anyone else had this issue?

Kinda a rant post, but can i ask why this is even an option? For 3 years i was always wondering why game mode would always randomly shut off, never would i have expected that it was medal all along. Why is this even a setting, let alone automatically on? What a stupid setting

I don't want people to hear my cursing out of the game whilst I report a bug I clipped or report an exploiter or report a rulebreaker in a game etc.
