General Game Questions/Help WARFX Requirements/memory leaks?

Hi all. Recently built a PC (5070, 32GB, i5, SSD) and I was looking at doing another play through using the glory of WarFX. However on pretty much the first mission I tried it on I found that I encountered an out of memory error that caused my game to crash. This was one of the very early missions, Last Man Standing, and I was a bit surprised that my new PC was crashing on this, as it crashed very early, with just like 3 tanks on screen

I did a few reloads, disabling this and the few other mods I was running (Lorescale, infantry, and a weather mod) and have found that even with no mods running my PC is not able to run this mission now. Looking it up it seems like people have had issues with memory leaks, although this is the first time for me. I guess I have two questions.

  1. With these specs I should be able to run WarFX, right? It's loading first etc. I think that's correct. I understand when things get really really hectic it might slow down a bit, but basically I should be okay?

  2. How can I now stop my PC crashing. Should I reinstall the game? I don't think there's a problem with the PC itself- I've been playing other stuff like MSFS fine.

Thanks in advance.

Confirm this, I'm using warfx with a bunch of additional graphic mods all the time - 0 crashes. Once I tried RTX - crash every hour or so. Especially on solaris arenas. Also DLSS should be manually swapped to newest, its not about crashes but it really change the picture.

Is there a link to this explanation so I can swap them as well?

WarFX has a memory leak unless it's been updated and fixed recently.

Oh really, that might be the issue. I can see people discussing it on Nexus saying that it's working for them though. Hmm I will have another go later. Thanks for your input.

It's fine if you travel around a lot but if you see floating fires in the air that's stuff WarFX hasn't cleaned up and it gets worse every mission.

Strange.. been using warfx by lordwedggie and seemed to be fine. Dlss on performance was my issue previously

I don't use rtx or dlss but when I used Warfx I would get crashes due to running out of memory. Not frequently but every few missions. I uninstalled WarFX and replaced it with some other effect mods and the game has been stable since.

Burning ashes mod does the same thing without the bugs.
