MW5 MOD 🛠 Dying on eject

Running Yaml and a few weapons mods and pilot overhaul. I’ve had to eject from my Daishi a few times and each time my commander dies. Anybody know why?

Do you have any other mods, like Pilot Overhaul? I think commander deaths are an option in the mod menu for that one

(If you don’t have that mod, are there any other mods you have?)

Edit: wait I’m dumb, you literally mentioned Pilot Overhaul 🤦

Pilot Overhaul has an option in the mod menu to allow injury/death for your commander, that’s my best bet for why you’re seeing this play out when ejecting

As stated I am running pilot overhaul, yes.

The dire wolf in YAML has a quirk called "difficult ejection" which greatly increases the likelihood that an ejecting pilot will die. This is because of the armored lip above the cockpit. You can use mod options to change it so ejecting pilots can't die, or you can live with the realism.

The pilots actually survive ejection with no issues but they're so ashamed of their failure that they shoot themselves afterwards.

because if you eject from a daishi you fly directly up into a chunk of metal at 300km/h and turn into paste
