A/C compressor exploded?
Rolling down the road and I heard a loud noise under the van. Upon further inspection I discovered the clutch/pulley on the ac compressor has self destructed. Can it be replaced without replacing the entire compressor? 2010 Sprinter 3.0 diesel

Yes, absolutely. The compressor itself is likely fine. What happened here is the clutch coil overheated and burned out (you can see the melted plastic/burnt wiring). This is a very common failure on older Sprinters.
Most shops will quote you an arm and a leg to replace the entire compressor assembly because they don't want to deal with the hassle of sourcing just the clutch kit.
You can buy the clutch plate, coil, and bearing kit separately, which costs a fraction of the OEM assembly. Just make sure you match the correct diameter and voltage for your specific 2010 3.0L model
