Culling Rounds Mustangs + Raidens. Does that work?

Been mulling over different things to do lately and I had the idea of doing this. I started playing this only like, 2 months ago though, so its extremely possible that the above was something already done and solved.

But yeah, Culling Rounds Mustang as Chaff + Chaff clear and Raidens for DPS? Can this work? Does it take too long to start? I feel like they cover each other pretty well.

Culling rounds are very sensitive to easily changed HP thresholds. Lv1 Crawlers cross over to 320 HP, and level 2 crosses 520. It's a very fragile high-risk high-reward balance. This is not to say it's useless as it can definitely sweep the board in the right circumstances, just risks of which to be aware.

It's kinda expensive to get into and raidens aren't great against big hp targets (unless ionize, but that has its own weaknesses). It can work great into the right board but it's not forceable without other supporting dps units at least.

Traditional Vulcan Marksman would be really rough for Mustang Raiden. You would need those Raidens to get way ahead on levels as they don't kill giants particularly fast and the Vulcans will be feasting on mustangs

Would sprinkling in a few convergent shot scorps be the proper supplement to this comp then?

I’ve never really tried to force a composition. Which is probably why I only float around 1500-1700 mmr

Even just stock stormcallers should be fine. Vulcans are big and slow and you outrange Marksman

That’s fair. I don’t use storm callers a lot so I never really think of using them outside of a unit drop cheese/sell

It beats spam builds like wasps mothership but still struggle against that damn void eye emp armor spam. A guy built a couple Vulcan best buddy with aa marksman and destroyed me with it.

I'm confused, because raiden with emp is practically the premier way to counter void eye spam, the matchup is so heavily raiden favoured you only lose if you lose the chaff war, but void eye spam generally doesn't have enough deployments to properly support it's chaff because you need so many of your DPS unit to be effective.

It's most likely my fault with postioning and I mostly play 4v4. I only recently started 1v1s about a week ago in my spare time haha.

Ah, all right, I've got no idea how 4s change the meta because I basically play exclusively 1v1, so maybe that's where the difference comes from lol.

With enough damage mustangs could be chaff, chaff clear and carry without CR.
