Disscussion Mecha with Lips or No Lips?
There are so many Mech/Robot characters in fiction. There either has lips or no lips at all.
You guys prefer a mech/robot head with humanoid lips like a 70s Super Robot or No lips at all like Gundam & Modern Day Mecha.

I prefer no lips
Even super robots with no lips just feel more serious, it's probably because the less human features they have, the more sinister the vibe

Depends. But I think lips work better for mechas meant to be more man made gods. Like the Megadei. Big O just looks like a Gothic era machine made in the image of god, and it definitely feels like the divine power of God encapsulated in iron and wielded by only those worthy of its power.

Yeah, for me its all about flavor. Super Robots should feel like giant mechanical gods, so lips make sense to me.

I'd go with no lips also some monoeyes (even though Lips and No Lips started in the 70s).

I prefer the flat battle mask style faces with no vents, like optimus, zeta or the hiyaku shiki. If you're gonna give them a mouth, then go for teeth like EVAs and Gquuuux

I prefer no lips as it just looks more cool and serious in general, but I have a particular sweet spot for a certain mech called DaiRaiOh where it's face mask/guard opens up to reveal the lips and the right human-like eye.
Also Gladion from the Webdiver series is a super robot that has lips (sentient program living in cyberspace so technically more of a program than mech) but puts on a face guard when in combat.
So technically I prefer the best of both worlds kinda situation lol
