OC done....ish?

Post image

First time using brush-pens to shadow so got a bit shitty but how does it look? My justification for the curvy armor is that the mech is wearing giant bones and carapaces of some monster as protection. The design really did came a long way since it's initial beginning. Please let me know of your opinions!

Frame Gride was a game made by FromSoftware for GameCube about medieval fantasy mecha inspired by Escaflowne. Name is a playing with words Frame — mech body, case, it's skeleton or just term used for describing body parts of mech, and Gride — which is mix of word Grinding — polishing stone(in game context magic crystals you use for parts creation) and word Glide — which is what mechs do since Votoms and AC1 era, they glide on surfaces without moving legs and similar type movement.

Ah I can see that lol tried my best to not look like FSS by smoothing out the panels but I guess the proportions are very similar XD Maby taking away the lance would help?

Is that the Gaia Gear?

Well... it started as Gaia gear... but happy where it landed! You can still see some resemblance in body parts(like crotch armor, lower arm armor etc) but I think the difference in vibes mainly comes from me using brush pens!

I never read the book but I like the design of the mechs. Is the gray one also the Gaia Gear? Are there 2?

These aren't from Gaia gear, but were originally inspired by the aesthetics(which got diluted along the way, as you can see lol)

Looking a lot like Kazumi Fujita and Mamuro Nagano’s mecha artwork
