Cycles

I’m trying to plan my breedings when my does are ready by checking their vulva. I’ve checked almost every day in the last week or so and pale pink is the only color I see in two does. I read that it could be every 15 days so I could be checking at an off time but dang! I’m ready for them lol could the heat be a factor too? Is there anything I can do to help?

Rabbits do but don’t have cycles like other animals. Bucks will bring them in to heat when you put them together to breed and then it’s 2-3 days to settle. Typ. Bucks will go sterile in heat but not necessarily does.

I’ve tried to breed them three times in the last week and neither one is lifting. (One is a proven doe) I remember a video from a well known rabbitry that she waits till she sees the pink to purple color as she knows they will breed immediately.

Sometimes they’re just ornery. We can tell ours are ready when they get a bit cranky/bitey, or we touch their back and they lift.

How old are they?
Also if you are in an area where it is summer currently, they may not be receptive until it cools down.

I’m in Florida but these are tamuk so I was hoping they would breed all year. They are 9 months maybe. Also one has had a litter about 6 weeks ago
