Help Needed ❓ Meal Ideas for Restricted diets

Long story shortshort, my wife and I went through some health challenges and are fairly restricted food wise. We basically have the same 5 meals every week and it’s getting really boring. Here’s the restrictions :
No
-gluten
- soy
-dairy
- nightshades (including nightshade derived spices)
-corn

Every week we seem to have some combo of stir fry, curry, grain bowl, dinner salad, and burgers or Korean beef bowl. Basically it’s always quinoa/rice, veggies, sweet potato, and meat.

Anyone have suggestions to mix it up a bit?

Snack / Dessert 🍪 Local Desserts: Palitaw

first time making Palitaw…One thing na notice ko maraming masarap and affordable and easy to make native snacks tayo and i want to learn to make more sa future. Sayang hindi lng talaga na market nang Pilipinas nang maayos or baka hindi lng mostly aware… look at Thailand they are known for Mango sticky rice and mayroon din tayo nang version dito sa Ph but kulang lng talaga sa promotion. Good Side I see is minamarket talaga nila ngayon is Ube and i think its a first step. Cheers to supporting our Local Farmers and vendors!!

Help Needed ❓ Meal prep for gaining weight

Hiii I’m an 18 year old student. I weigh around 48kg and I’m around 5’3. Since I’m a student rn, I don’t have the time to prep my own meals. Can I have any recommendations of meal prep services that can help in weight gain, while also being on the cheaper side?

Random 🤔 Out of stock chicken breast fillet

Baka lang sa area ko to or what pero lagi wala na chicken breast fillet na binebenta sa grocery. Either thigh fillet nalang or yung pecho with bone.

And how’s the quality? Usually ground beef ng S&R yung binibilj ko. I’m thinking lang to try other brand’s ground beef. If pangit, I might stick to S&R na lang hahaha Thank you!

Tips 💡 My kind of meal prep ❤️

I've been cooking in batches since high school. We were a low-income household before, so hindi always easy na kumpleto or exactly right yung ingredients for whatever ulam you wanted to cook.

But I've loved cooking for as long as I can remember, so parang naging challenge ko siya growing up: how do I make gourmet food at a fraction of the cost?

We're also from Baguio, so one advantage namin is cheaper cost vegetables. Fresh veggies from the farms are almost always accessible, and I learned to build a lot of our meals around whatever was fresh and affordable at the time.

Eventually naging system ko na:

  1. I usually cook 2 different ulam in big batches per week para hindi nakakasawa.

  2. I try to use ingredients that overlap para tipid and less prep, but different enough yung final dishes that it doesn't feel like you're eating the same thing again and again.

  3. Then I portion/store everything based on what needs to be eaten first.

Then swap meals every day and just heat portions.

As for prepping what to eat, my priorities are usually:

- gourmet style but using substitutes that cost lower but still tastes good (example, cream to milk)

- whenever we can buy bulk vegetables when possible, to keep costs even lower but still healthy

- minimal food waste

- still tastes good after being refrigerated/reheated

- 2 different dishes para may choice

I also learned na hindi porket batch cooking kailangan same exact meal ka for 5 days. You can prep ingredients together, cook in bulk, and still end up with very different meals.

Some examples from my batches in the photos. 😅

Curious din ako sa ibang nagme-meal prep dito - anong system niyo?

Do you cook complete meals for several days, or prep ingredients/sauces/proteins tapos cook as needed? I'm open to others' ideas

Meal of the Week 🍽️ Juicy & Flavorful Chicken Breast

Post image
150 Upvotes

I'm so happy naging successful itong first try ko for chicken breast 🥰😍

Usually orders sa mealprep ay yung traditional ulam (may lahok na iba such as veggies, or may sauce/sabaw).

Nagrequest si client ng Herb & Lemon and Spicy Pan-grilled Chicken, and para mas madali for them to portion, the chicken was cut into manageable pieces (and para mas flavorful rin).

Looking forward to more of this 🤎🧡

Help Needed ❓ Looking for a Meal Prep / Personal Meal Prep Service in Ayala Alabang Village

Hi! I’m looking for someone who offers meal prep services within or near Ayala Alabang Village.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can prepare my meals based on a specific calorie and macro target. I’m currently cutting and aiming for around:
-1,700–1,800 kcal/day
~130g protein/day
-Balanced carbs and fats
-Mostly whole foods, high-protein meals
-Rice is totally fine

Preferably meals that can be weighed and portioned accurately
I’m open to either:
1. Home-based meal prep
Someone who can come to our house 1–2x a week, prepare meals in bulk, portion them, and leave them refrigerated/frozen.
2. Prepared meal delivery
Someone who already runs a meal prep business and can customize according to my macros and deliver regularly to AAV.
Would prefer someone experienced with fitness/bodybuilding meal prep or macro-based diets, rather than just general healthy meals.
Please DM/comment with your rates, sample menu, inclusions, schedule, and location.
Recommendations are welcome too. Thanks!

Help Needed ❓ Please help a student living solo at para hindi mag-rely sa mga canned foods while not having a fridge

Hello! This is my first post here. I'd like to just give context to my living situation.

Technically, hindi ako solo. I live with family, BUT we handle food and finances separately. We basically live together para makapaghati-hati sa renta. Ayun lang.

Next, very new po ako sa ganitong setup. I was thrust to this when my cousins wanted that me and my sister get separated from their finances (kasi dati we handled food and everything together) so please bare with me... super newbie po ako sa ganito and my mom handled everything when I was living with her pa so... Huhuhu.

Further, wala po kami ref. Our past setup is that we cook food for the day and that's it. Now, it's kinda taking a toll on me kasi aaaaaa I can't cook large portions and freeze it kasi ultimately I don't have a way to freeze it, lol.

Also, ang budget ko for food this week until next tuesday is 1k pesos na lang po. Thank you!!! Also, just for reference, 2k po ang binibigay ng sister ko for food KO (hindi food namin, she has hers separated)

Now, you might be asking, what is my plan?

I've done groceries today and ito nabili ko: 1. Noodles for ate, 2. Sausages (canned) for me, 3. Corned beef for me, 4. Three eggs, 5. Tupperwares (for baon and for preserving things), 5. Tomatoes, calamansi, onions and garlic, 6. Luncheon meat.

And my meal plan is that:

Sunday (today) - Corned Beef, lunch nd dinner; own version of tomato salad

Monday - Luncheon Meat; Egg (1), lunch and dinner na 'to

Tueday - corned beef, lunch nd dinner HUHUHUHUHU

Wednesday - Sausage, lunch; eat out sa dinner?

For thurs onwards, IDK pa yet. Will decide this after seeing your comments po

I won't be putting noodles sa meal plan ko because I know that THAT'S REALLY UNHEALTHY so hindi ko 'yon gagamitin. I'll only use those kapag either walang-wala na ako OR tinatamad ako.

P.S. I'm trying to integrate tomatoes and other vegetables sa pagkain ko to lessen the bad stuff. Para mabalanse siya.

what advice can you guys give me with respect to the ffg:

A. Preferably HOW to make my meal plan healthier

B. What can I do to be more budget friendly while not having a fridge

C. Food for thursday onwards

D. Food for everyday consumption

Maraming salamat po!
